Democrats charged Tuesday that the CIA has released documents about congressional briefings on harsh interrogation techniques in order to deflect attention and blame away from itself
...
The 10-page document, which was prepared after an April 20 request by Rep. Peter Hoekstra (R-Mich.), lists 40 instances in which the CIA briefed members of Congress between September 2002 and March 2009. But they provide a vague description of the briefings, giving just enough information to fuel claims that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and other top officials have long known about waterboarding and other tactics but did little to stop the techniques from being used.

The GALL of these Democrats is astounding.

I don't understand what the deal is with you partisans. It's quite obvious that both sides are lying, cheating, opportunist scumbags, so what is the point in supporting one of them? I seriously never understood the interest in either supporting morons like this or getting so wrapped up in irrelevant personal attacks like this.

Yes, they lied. Yes, they attempted to exploit the issue to gain political ground. Democrats need to accept this, and republicans need to get over it.

Oh yeah, the GALL !!! You're joking right? How dare they speak up. From your link.

The document came with a disclaimer from CIA Director Leon Panetta, who said that some of the descriptions of briefings “may not be accurate.” And it was leaked to the press just as Democrats were debating the idea of a sprawling investigation into the Bush administration’s interrogation techniques.

Why address B.S. as B.S. right when it comes out?

Bah you took the words right out of my mouth lol. This is nothing more than partisanship. Even if it is not, anyone that was involved in torture, or covered it up should be prosecuted to the maximum extent of the law. Yes this included Democrats and Republicans. The law is the law and no man is above it.

I couldn't agree more.

That is your defense?.."some of it may not be accurate descriptions"..so its all BS?

Where was this crap from you when the Obama released cherry picked memo's..wheres this feigned outrage from you over the Democrats action.
Non-existant.

Yeah, my defense is, if it's :bs, then they should call :bs.

LOL... Uhmm... Maybe you didn't notice, but...:newhere:. For the record, If you would have read my next post's, it would have become clear to you that I'm not a partisan hack, and will blast Dem's as well as Rep's. However your partisan hackery is duly noted. To think I've one in just under 10 post's.

Lets just say you use that name and avatar before. :2wave:

Regardless..
Is your argument that the CIA documents/summaries/memo's released by the Obama are more truthful and honest then the CIA summaries/documents/memo's released by the CIA?

This is an example of an under the bus victim reaching out to grasp those who threw him under there in the first place. Calling for it is merely self defense but I doubt it will help much.

I have no idea what you're talking about. I joined this forum today. I've been posting at another forum for the last couple of years. If you would have possibly found that forum, and read my post there, you would have never made such a comment.

Regardless..

No !!! My argument is simply if these briefing may not be accurate, then that should be taken into account for anyone reading them. It has nothing to do with any other documents, briefings, or anything else. If the one's Obama has already released are B.S., then call them B.S. and support your argument.
Remember, it was Leon Panetta, the CIA director that made the statement about the briefings may not be accurate. So unless you are another high ranking CIA official, you probably don't have the first hand experience of Leon Panetta. But if you can prove him wrong, or a liar on this issue, I'll give you the chance. But if you can't, I'll probably go with the CIA director guy on this one.

these briefing may not be accurate.

I agree. However the claims of the fearless leader of the congressional body may be inaccurate as well.

Top Lawmakers Were in the Loop on Interrogations

"there were more than 30 meetings and briefings with members of Congress on the subject since 2002. "

The Bush administration did not inform Congress that it had waterboarded detainees in classified briefings, after the agency had already done so, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) charged Thursday.
"In that or any other briefing...we were not, and I repeat, were not told that waterboarding or any of these other enhanced interrogation techniques were used," said Pelosi. "What they did tell us is that they had some legislative counsel...opinions that they could be used, but not that they would."

One says...didnt happen. The other produces a pack of documentation.

close call. 30 meetings will be hard to hide.

It rather reminds me of the punch line from the old joke when a man is caught in bed with his mistress by his wife, and denies the whole thing: "You gonna believe what you see, or what I tell you?"

IMO, there is too much smoke, for there not to be any fire. Libruls in the congress believe they can now lie with impunity. It will all be swept under the carpet.

Hang them all and let god sort it out!
