BBC NEWS | Health | Male 'contraceptive jab' closer

A monthly injectable male contraceptive is currently being tested in China. It stops sperm production while in use, and once stopped sperm production returns to normal. Until now, the onus has been on the woman to be the one pushing for contraceptive use, but now this means equal responsibility.

Assuming it proves safe, would you, as a man, take it? Ladies, would you want your man to take it?

Assuming it proves safe, of course. The trick though, is that ovulation is a process that has built in stops. (It stops during pregnancy, for instance.)

Sperm production may slow with age, or stop altogether in the presence of Janet Reno, but generally a man produces sperm from puberty until death, there are as far as I know no natural "stops" built into the process.

Yay!

It's about time............;)

Hell yes I would take it... Condoms are a pain in the ass and the pill isn't always 100%.

Well this injection, while good with providing a safeguard against pregnancy, wouldn't protect the same way a condom does. As the condom can prevent the spread of some STDs. So it would still behoove people who are having casual sex to still use a condom. Though for couples who just don't want to get pregnant, this should work well if it does.

Though, I'm not one to really believe in medicines which come out of China. So we'll see where this would go. Even if China made something that wasn't toxic, it would take some time to get through our system here.

And you assume this is?

You got a raging hardon for me this morning or something?

No one form is 100%, but if you combine this with a female birth control, I'd be willing to call it good in my opinion.

Since you're riding my nuts so hard this morning.. they still smell fresh from my shower?
