WHITE HOUSE AIDE RESIGNS OVER FLYOVER FLAP - New York Post

WASHINGTON -- A top White House aide resigned today for his role in Air Force One's $328,835 photo-op flyover above New York City that sparked panic and flashbacks to the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. His resignation was made public at the same time the photo of the flyover was released by the White House.

Damn that's a pretty cool shot.

I approve.

This proves what people have been saying all along. Republicans are way better then Democrats at the image game. Remember the Bush photo ops? Dressing up like a fighter pilot so that he could resemble guys who actually were going to war. The Mount Rushmore pic where his head was in line with those of the dead guys. Remember the image of him standing on top of the rubble after 9/11? I'll give it to Republicans. They're much better at creating a false image then Democrats.

Are you kidding me? The dems created a Messiah.

I don't see Obama in this released photo or any mention of his name. The image portrays the greatness of America, not Obama.

The POTUS reference would be in the plane my unobservant friend.

Which is why they placed the plane of the U.S. president smack in the middle.

Can you prove this?

Nah!

The Republicans didn't create a fake Birth Certificate of the Messiah and post it one the Internet, did they?

Hail Caesar!

This mess is another good example of how the Obama administration is heads and tails above Bush's. This guy made a really bad decision and was asked to hit the road. Bush, on the other hand, kept Karl Rove after leaking a CIA spy's identity.

I also think the idiot at the FAA who decided this should not be dispersed to NYC officials should be at least reassigned. If the city was told about this there wouldn't have been any fuss, except of course from the other side of the aisle.

Chalk one up for Obama!

"I'm sick of these motha****in presidents, in this motha****in plane!"

That photo sucks balls.

/fail

Okay I gotta chime in. The image does not suck. It is mediocre. The Statue of Liberty should have a larger role in this image. This was in the words of Henri Cartie Bresson a decisive moment. And who ever said a decisive moment could not be staged. It certianly does not look like a low flight. I bet there are at least 1000 images from this shoot

$300K and 9/11 hysteria for THAT picture means that picture sucks.

If we only paid 25 cents for it on a post card rack at Wal-Mart then it would be ok, but frankly they could have photo-shopped a far better pic.
