This is a bunch of crap. Obama promises to close Gitmo, and what does his party do? Refuses to fund it. Closing Gitmo takes money or it can't really be done properly. But maybe the Democrats already knew that.

Could this be just another case of say one thing but work behind the scenes to make sure it doesn't happen, that politicians in the past have done?

Meanwhile, Obama keeps talking about yet another accomplishment that may not happen. Who knows? Maybe next election cycle, he will tell everyone that he kept his promise to close down Gitmo, while the prisoners are still there, watching his speech and shaking their heads. LOL.
