Obama vows great 'vigilance' as swine flu spreads

Is this a twofer crisis designed to push UHC and immigration reform through by panicing the people? That would certainly be consistent with the preferred methods of Prez Doofus and the Soros Administration. ;)

You're right, this current administration pioneered the art of the diversion. Never in American history have these tactics been used before this. Whatever will we do?

Although most former administrations have utilized the Govern by Panic method, Prez Doofus and the Soros Admin have perfected it. They are the never let a good crisis go to waste folks after all. ;)

Partisan hackery. When in his 8 year term did Bush not do this? The difference between you and I is that I can acknowledge the flaws in my own party, not just blindly point the finger at the opposition. As I have said many times, I don't have a problem with you having opposing views, I have problems with your logical fallacies, your "appeal to ridicule" here in particular.

Sure, this flu may be considered mild, but the reason this epidemic is a big deal to officials is because it is a new strain of virus, one that does not have an actual vaccine yet. The 50 million stockpiled vaccines the CDC currently has are only effective enough that the new strain is only "sensitive" to them; they do not kill the virus.

This is why there is all this focus on the matter, because viruses can mutate if they spread enough, and if that happens before we can develop an effective vaccine, then we're really in for a treat.

But I agree that panic is not warranted. Most of us avoid viruses like that in our daily lives through proper hygienic habits and access to sanitary services, and are much less likely to ever contract this strain.

Sorry Jall....sometimes you are right in your critiques, this time I' not biting. I've followed the Rev's posts long enough to know that his post that I responded to was not a "joke" although it was a thinly veiled attempt to portray it as such. I stand by my post here.

Perhaps before you start flapping your jaws, you may wish to take a moment and review the history that Disneydude and I have of ribbing each other.

I just love it when some random noob makes a drive by shot at one of the established posters on the forum and completely misses the mark, destroying credibility and alienating himself from the social aspects before he even gets started.

Eh, I don't really feel I've done anything wrong, in this or any post. If i was misinformed of some history between the two of you, my apologies, but you must admit that MANY posts on here such as yours (not yours in particular) aren't harmless ribbing. And you're right, I haven't been a member long, so instead of a comment such as that, how about something along the lines of "Hey, I know you haven't been around long, but this comment was made in good fun, and not meant to offend." I don't truly have time to go through all the posts in the history of this forum and WILL from time to time make a mistake. All I ask is the same respect that I will give you in the future. Give me a fair explanation before you assume that I am just a troll trying to stir things up. Thanks!

You're right. We've had such a history of trolling recently, I made the assumption that you were just one of a recent rash of them. My apologies. We know what happens when I assume things...
