Black man's killing by police shakes La. town

That can be handled in another thread if you'd like. Obama is trying to do things that are wrong, so no, he shouldn't get anytime. when he stops trying to turn the country into a socialst, cradle to grave nanny state then maybe, but otherwise...
no, he deserves no acceptance of failed ideas and plans.
But police departments deserve acceptance of their failed ideas, plans and policies? We simply have to trust this particular potrtion of the government blindly... Why exactly? And we simply have to condemn the executive branch blindly... Why exactly? Sounds more like a position emerging from partisan hackery than from a coherent political thought. I'm less critical of your paranoid, hysterical fear of Obama than of your notion that we simply have to trust the police. If we are to have vigilance of the populous in its monitoring of government, surely that ought to include critical attention to the agents of government who patrol the streets of our neighborhoods with guns, no?

If anyone had said that, you would have a point.

Cops are like any other humans, there's good, bad and ugly. Been one, and in my experience about 25% have no business wearing the badge.

The difference is the authority and power they are invested with by society and the law. Anyone who has that kind of power, from cops to politicians, should be watched closely and trusted little.

Having said that...its intresting how quick some are to throw the race card down before half the facts are known, especially if the cops are white and its a Southern state. The modern South isn't any more racist than any other part of the country, thank you very much.

Hatuey hates black people? :rofl

I do.

I love people who've been here for like 3 weeks and think they have the entire forum figured out :D. I hate the part of country with the most black people. I hate the part of the country with the most uneducated black people. I hate the part of the country with the most dumbass no-job having black people. I hate the part of country with black people content of having some of the ****tiest living standards in the country next to maybe Podunk Alaska and that place where Little House in the Prairie was filmed. I hate black people. Here. I'll say it. **** Louisiana. It's that place that America only looks at on Mardi Gras and the latest Girls Gone Wild DVD.

Should there also be groups to police the police police? And how about a group to police the police police police. Wow, this could turn into a full employment program.

I thought, in US towns and cities, there were already groups in place to police the police; sometimes referred to as mayors, city managers, city councils. I know from experience they don't do a very good job of it, at least in southern MO, but I fail to see how setting up another organization will do any better.

.

There should be a partial group set up and the groups you speak about do not do crap in reguards to the cops. They are all in each others pockets:roll:

In my city we have what is called the Public Integrity Bureau. They handle police complaints.

Nobody wants drunk tourists beat up by cops.

We do not have anything like that here:(

Ummm the title my internet illiterate friend was provided by the AP. Thus why it wasn't changed by the mods. Do you have ANY other issues I have no control over?

you forgot to explain the context of your sentence I referred to. "noted" my bigoted friend.

Miind explaining why you think this new group would be any different?

I've been here for years and 15,000 ****ing posts. Look up my posts so I don't have to tell somebody who's been here for like 2 and a half consecutive months and less then 1/10th of my posts where I live. The only troll around these parts is you my Louisiana son.

LOL No, I don't care enough where you live to find out. I just know that I would never attack somebody's state and then hide behind some sort of anonymity of my state.

I wouldn't have dissed your state because I'm not bigoted about entire populations of states or regions.

I love these liberal bleeding heart stories... a black male, peaceful, good guy, never did anything wrong, gunned down by trigger happy cops for no REASON! Obviously it was skin color and nothing else that caused this senseless death, and the cops will get off sctt free!

I love how lefties like Hatuey are ready to judge, jury and executioner of the police. What happened to such foreward thinking premises like I dunno... innocent until proven guilty? Or, not rushing to judgement?

I wonder Hatuey, if this had been some black thugs, killing a white man, would you even bother to mention it? Black cops killing an older white man?

Somehow, I think not. You just cannot resist the sirens call of a case of a black man being shot by the cops can you?

I like how "righties", especially the ones who claim to be small and restricted and responsible government type, always dismiss possible wrong doings and do not call for tough restrictions, investigations, and jail time when an arm of the government has possibly acted in near the worst way it could. The police are a piece of the government, all government is to be mistrusted. Anything which wields the power and soveriegnty of the People is to be mistrusted, constrained, restricted, and punished severely if having acted improperly.

I suppose with "righties", all the talk about responsible government goes out the door if what you're talking about has a badge.

I find it funny when northern hillbillies call out southern rednecks.

Of the cops I have known, those who have been at it a long time tend to be the better ones. The few I have known that were still young, I hope that 2 of them got canned by now. The power went to their heads in a hurry. Good police forces weed those out, I hope...
But as for the modern south, I am from east texas, and there are still pockets of severe ignorance and racism there. I don't know if the numbers are any worse than the white supremists of northern states, but they still exist where I was raised, this much I know.

What context? The one where I said the actions of this case wouldn't surprise me coming from a place like Louisiana? Where did I even mention race in my post? Please stop. You're making yourself look foolish. :)

Your commentary:

"Too early to tell. But then again this is Louisiana and these are cops. "

only a fool would buy your story that you were not engaging in your typical race baiting.

Given by the AP. I'm sorry. Can you not comprehend those words?

Only a complete contextually devoid political bottom feeder would try to link the title given by the AP to the post I made and say I'm race baiting when clearly my attack was on the way the police are 'punished' regardless of where they live and who they kill.

Anonymity of my state? Once again. You've been here for like 3 days. I don't have to pander to something you can find out by looking at my posts. Which you already seem to have done :) See? Searching is your friend.

This is not the first time you have been caught race baiting, insulting whole states, Police officers, and being dishonest so no worries. I don't expect any better of you. :2wave:

Why does it always seem that the blacks on messageboards are the ones running around measuring every word with a black ruler? I mean if they want bigotry to go away, shouldn't they be the last ones to bring any such implications up?

Because being a victim is so much less work than just growing the **** up and moving on.

Two people in the thread asked where you live. You didn't answer. Was it such a big deal to just tell us?

Your posts are weird and you have a really bad attitude so I rarely read any of them. And I just can't stand elitist bigotry.

Don't paint with such a broad brush. You may not know the race and/or ethnicity of some members. ;)

Reading comprehension.

Yes.

I have it.

The cops allegedly saw a random gun sitting on a chair as they rushed through the house and then they shot this guy and said, "Hey, Joe, go grab that gun you saw on the porch, it might belong to this guy" and lo and behold, it did! Hallellujah! Jesus! Amen! A miracle occured.

Meanwhile the shooting victim was allegedly pointing a deadly water bottle at the cops...possibly to get them wet so they too could enjoy the tasering, according to the completely unbiased and totally honest witness who weren't around when the events happened.
