He has black racial traits, it's in his lineage, and DNA. He's as much black as he is white. He self-identifies as primarily an African-American, and for good reason...he looks like one. But I'm curious, would you please name the "catchy slogan" he made up about being black...specify the lie also.

Now you're simply being intellectually dishonest. Where was he raised for the majority of his life? What color is his skin? He is exhibits primarily black racial traits. Just because he's got a white mother that doesn't mean it negates his sub-Saharan ancestry or obvious racial traits.

Preponderance of ancestry and obvious predominance of racial characteristics are how one claims race for almost all purposes. Obama displays a predominance of black American racial traits and his ancestry is linked to sub-Saharan Africa.

He's a black American, that's what he claims, that what he physically appears to be. A black American with sub-Saharan and white ancestry. The government recognizes his right to self-identify his race based upon the obvious.

No. What makes you think he is? I often call myself an Arab even though I am half British because I was raised in a household wherein Arabic culture was embraced. It's just the part of me with which I identify most strongly.

I'll elaborate on my comment.

Here is the thing, anyone that is not noticeably white is subject to racism of not being white from people.

My future prediction though is one of what could be called reverse-racism, and that is people discriminating against people that are white and not a mixture.

That is what I think is the possibility in the future. Maybe I am a pessimist, but that is what I think. In the future being white will be almost a crime.

It's important to make a distinction between "people" and "some people." I've been called everything from a "dirty mexican" to a "Jew" to a "sand nigger." These people would be ignorant assholes no matter in what "race" they claim to belong.

My future prediction though is one of what could be called reverse-racism, and that is people discriminating against people that are white and not a mixture.

That is what I think is the possibility in the future. Maybe I am a pessimist, but that is what I think. In the future being white will be almost a crime.

I foresee a future where we get past our petty differences and see each other as the family we are. We can make it happen. I'm an optimist.

It is a different era that has reverse racism. When I lived in a black neighborhood in Brooklyn I was targeted because I'm as white as pure driven snow. The reason for this racism was because of the previous racism towards blacks. I have even been beaten up in a race riot. Al Sharpton is a prime example of a reverse racist.

I'll agree with you on the "reverse racism" part however, whenever there is a lawsuit dealing with a white person being discriminated against a non-white person it is lableed "reverse racism" that is why I used the term. I agree with you however that racism is racism.

However to your future, I would like to see the end result that way, but I think it will still happen eventually that being white will be considered a minority and racism against whites will happen. At least for a time.

It does not matter why someone is racist, they're still a racist. Al Sharpton may or may not be a racist, but his bellicose rhetoric encourages racism and racial violence.

It CAN happen though. We decide our fate. It's up to us. MLK's dream has still largely not reached fruition. Now we voluntarily segregate ourselves based on physical characteristics. It's ridiculous.

If the racism is based on previous racism it is a reverse racism. Blacks were considered inferior because they were black. Whites are now considered inferior because they thought blacks were inferior not because of their race.

Judging people based on the actions of their ancestors is not just. You've done nothing to harm black people and therefore I don't buy this "reverse racism" crap. A more ridiculous version of this is the idea that "blacks can't be racist" which is patently disingenuous crap.

Whites are now considered inferior because they thought blacks were inferior not because of their race.

I have a problem with this term. I have used it, and have been corrected on it.

If someone hates or discriminates someone that is of a different race, it isn't reverse racism, it is just place racism.

I think some people have coined the term "reverse racism" to mean something less.

Like if a black is a against a white it is coined "reverse racism" like it is something more honorable that a white against a black which is termed "racism".
