Don Imus says he has prostate cancer

Veteran radio personality Don Imus said he's battling stage two prostate cancer, but expressed confidence in a full recovery.

Imus, 68, made the announcement Monday on his morning show from New York, which airs on ABC Radio Networks and cable's RFD-TV. He said he wrestled with the idea of making it public, but figured he should because he might have to miss some work due to treatment.

I almost find a sweet irony in this. I mean...a guy who uses his radio show to verbally piss on everything from college kids to minorities getting a disease that ****s up his biological pissing abilities. If there is a God he sure does have a kick ass sense of humor. We can only hope that Al Franken catches a deadly form of conjunctivitis and Rush Limbaugh catches colon cancer.

I find relishing in others sickness rather abhorrent. I think people are human and should be treated as such.

Besides, I am not a fan of Imus, but his ranch for kids with cancer is a noble enterprise.

I find this thread as equally detestable as Imus's idiotic statments about the rutgers womens basketball team.

No, I find it more detestable and low class.

I have to agree with Hellhound. If I want to see someone fail hard and loudly, then I would want them to be healthy.

Let us not allow the bad things to overshadow the good things Don Imus has done.

Imus Ranch

finally. Howard Stern prayed to his lord and Saviour Jesus Christ many many many times in teh 90's for this to happen

Well, on a positive note, as much as evetybody has been sticking the finger up Imus's arse this past year, they probably caught it early.

Howard Stern is a Jew.

To all the little pimps that wish for harm and disease to others Mr. Imus has a form of cancer that is detected in a standard colonscopy examination. So depsite your filthly little masurbatory oral excretions he wil probably be just fine. Oh, buttboys you failed to say who will run the Imus Ranch For Kids With Cancer should he pass on. What is the name of your ranches that you have dedicated the rest of your life to helping others with?

Howard Stern is a Jew.
Thats HALF Jew to you sir ;)

and as such, it shows the light in which the comment should be taken
it was good comedy bits
wishing bad **** on his competition, wishing his boss(tom ciasano) got pancreatic cancer
it was great comedy that nobody took seriously because a Jew was praying to Jesus for these things happened

and in fact he expressed yesterday, on his show, that while he thinks Imus was a disgusting person IRL, he hoped that it was detected early and is easily treated. He also made reference to Imus' Ranch for cancer kids.

Ouch. It's amazing how after just a few weeks on a message board one can start to 'connect the dots' between various posters' positions on issues and their perspective about life in general.

I see that. Our paths haven't crossed much since I joined. But I have a feeling we'll probably see eye-to-eye on a number of issues.

;)

Cheering that Don Imus has prostate Cancer (even if it can be taken care of) is tasteless.

The main thing wrong Don Imus has done wrong is made bad remarks. I hardly call that reason to cheer the guy having anything like prostate cancer.

As bad as his remarks have been to some, freedom of speech is what our country has been founded on.

At worst, at least to me, Don Imus deserves the same freedom of speech to be called an asshole, but that is it. I surely do not wish a physical ailment on someone that speaks bad things and that's all they have done.

he was also a scumbag to people who worked for him, and those who worked at the radio station

First, his present crew minus the two blacks that were added after his Rutgers womens baskeball player "nappy headed-ho's" comment that got him from fired from MSNBC have been with him since day one. Second, you are referring to a time when he was drinking a quart of vodka evey day and snorting coke by the mile. He is what he is and I would rather help a man that helps kids and has a foul mouth than one that has a foul mouth and never has lifted a finger to help anyone. Judge a person by their deeds not their words.

in the correct proportions
he was a scumbag by many reports to office staff ath the radio. Being a junkie does not excuse it

IMO finding Jesus christ on the deathbed does not make up for killing and raping during ones life

They could have quit. I would have. Or punched him in the face.

A little hyperbole?
