And more wounded in yet another shooting spree.

You can blame the guns all you want to, but these killings were done by a man. My wish is that his victims had been armed.

It's Obama's fault.

:2wave:

I havent been able to read the story (I can't get into the link).

Is there anything in the story that indicates that any of the usual gun control laws proposed by the anti-gun left might have stopped this?

I can't see anything in this story that might indicate anti-gun laws may have stopped this. The guy went nuts obviously.

Clearly, we need to make sure that someone who might go nuts will never have access to a gun.

That would make sense, but this guy was a good guy who just one day snapped. So how can you limit access to something from someone who has no prior indication of craziness without banning any kind of weapon all together?

I am just surprised in a small town in Alabama no one else had a gun and shot the idiot. This kind of **** makes me glad we have the freedom to be able defend ourselves when people go crazy.

That's my point. Anyone can just snap.

Yes, well, enjoy it while you have it.

That's going to be difficult to do without implementing gun control and taking away our guns. This guy was described as "a nice guy" who suddenly wigged out after losing his job. Nothing could have been foreseen. And who is to decide who might and might not go nuts? You? Me? The government? Clamping down this way is a slippery slope to taking down the Second Amendment.

2 of his 4 weapons were assault rifles

Someone says this after every single firearms massacre. Why don't you just get a rubber stamp with this excuse on it?

So what? They did not cause him to do this.

Actually I believe these weapons were post ban and would not be considered AWB restricted weapons if the AWB was still in place.

FAIL.

The gun lovers will never tire of these annual slaughters.
And with them around, nothing will be done until these events reach a daily basis.
Maybe then, a man will question the need for so much armament...

Oooh hoplophobic emotional debate. Love it!

Fact is these things are rare. And even in highly restrictive societies like Germany, this happens.

Gun control FAIL.

What's it like, waking up every morning, hoping to hear news of a mass shooting, so that you can make some nonsensical argument against guns and childish ad homs against gun owners?

Do you really think that gun owners enjoy seeing people get killed? The reason they constantly bring up the gun issue is because anti-gun people such as yourself will try to use these events as currency to push their own anti-gun propaganda.

They sure can.

Why, a man not too long ago drove his car through the Farmers' Market in Los Angeles, killing a few, hurting more.

Clearly we absolutely must ban cars.

Nah. I'd question that, if so many people are going bonkers, why the victims weren't armed and able to defend themselves.

If they want to be the pretty little gazelles in a land of hyenas and lions, that's fine. Docile terrified weak herbivores have their place in the food chain.

Personally, I'd seek to be the lion the hyenas say "sir" to.

And here, you address the real reason why the 'useful idiots' support gun control -- they do not have the physical, intellectual, emotional or psychological means to be respobsible for their own safety, and so they openly and happily rely on the government for same.

Because if the overwhelming sense of inferiority they suffer because of their lack of that basic capacity for self-defense, in disarming the law abiding, they insist on bringing those of us that DO possess those abilities down to their level, forcing ALL of us to rely on the government to protect them.

Its really quite sad.

Maybe the Liberal are right on this:

1) OK, the guy shot up people, with an assault rifle. Ban guns.

2) People get stabbed all the time. Ban knives (butter knives included - It's for the public safety, after all).

3) Doctors prescribe the wrong medicine sometimes. Ban medicine.

4) DWI hit and runs? Ban cars.

5) Train wrecks? Ban trains.

6) Slip on a wet floor? Ban water.

7) House fires? Ban air.

8) Economic meltdown? Ban money.

9) DanaRhea farts a lot? Ban his ass.

10) Congress passes gun control? Ban Congress.....

Wait!! I agree with that one.

This is also a lie. None of the weapons were assault rifles.

You are a liar. It is being reported that 2 of the weapons were assault rifles. You are a liar. LIAR!!
