Are you still fuming?
:rofl
About what? A fact? No.
Are you still fuming?

It's Obama's War NowThis is the text of a talk by Chris Hedges that will be read at anti-war gatherings to be held by The World Can't Wait in New York's Union Square, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Nashville, Louisville, Chicago and Berkeley on March 19 to protest the sixth anniversary of the start of the war in Iraq.
Barack Obama has shown that he is as capable of doublespeak as any other politician when he announced an end to the war in Iraq. Combat troops are to be pulled out of Iraq by August 2010, he said, but some 50,000 occupation troops will remain behind. Someone should let the Iraqis know the distinction. I doubt any soldier or Marine in Iraq will notice much difference in 19 months. Many combat units will simply be relabeled as noncombat units. And what about our small army of well-paid contractors and mercenaries? Will Dyncorp, Bechtel, Blackwater (which recently changed its name to Xe), all of whom have made fortunes off the war, pack up and go home? What about the three large super-bases, dozens of smaller military outposts and our imperial city, the Green Zone? Will American corporations give up their lucrative control of Iraqi oil?
The occupation of Iraq will not be disrupted. Lies and deception, which launched the war in the first place, are being employed by Democrats to maintain it. This is not a withdrawal. It is occupation lite. And as long as American troops are on Iraqi soil the war will grind on, the death toll on each side will continue to mount and we will remain a lightning rod for hatred and rage in the Middle East. Add to this Obama's decision to increase troop levels in Afghanistan and even his most purblind supporters will have to admit the new president is as intent on maintaining American empire as the old.
Look at this...
Why is the President of the United States even giving a talk show host the time of day?
Shouldn't he be more concerned with Russia and there laughing at him and stating they would not negotiate on Iran even though we will withdraw our missiles?
This coordinated attack on an entertainer is rather funny.
Do you think the Obama camp is making the right choice here? Propelling the 20 million listeners a week talk show host to political foe legitimacy?
Oops, just heard on the news that Obama's approval is now 68%.
And with the wings he came into office with...
My prediction is he's blown it. He's provided tons of fodder for the remainder of his administration.
Only 2% of the way into the Obama Reign of Error:
Mr. Hope has come out of the closet revealing Good Socialist Mr. Hopelessness.
Only government can save you now.
Now it's "No You CANNOT, only government can fix this."
He's has been talking down the economy. Dow is -3000 on Obama's time on the scene.
He's spent trillions on pork.
He's talking about raising taxes.
Cutting the mortgage write-off.
Cutting the write-off for charitable contributions.
Though he claimed to be open, he's not been open about Star Wars and sent a letter surrendering our defense system for some talky, talky with Iran.
He fumbled dealing with Pakistan-India.
He is nationalizing industries.
He has been telling businesses where they can go and what they should and should not spend.
He's treated our English allies like turds.
He's leaving 50,000 troops in Iraq (something I agree with, but doesn't square his campaign promises)
I wish Lee Atwater was still around.
This would be child's play.
If he were brought back from the dead for a week, I'm sure he'd wonder how the hell such an flawed candidate could get out of Iowa let alone get into the Oval Office; the press on his side 100% or not.
Only a RINO, someone who pissed on his party more than the opposition, a RINO with no killer instinct could lose to Obama.
If the Republicans are smart they will start putting out ads in key states right now. Now is the time to impress upon the public we have a chameleon in the White House. To prepare for 2010 and to give them cover while slowing Obama's Socialist Spectacle.
Poll: Obama's rating at all-time high - White House- msnbc.comWASHINGTON - After Barack Obama's first six weeks as president, the American public's attitudes about the two political parties couldn't be more different, the latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll finds. In the survey, 68 percent have a favorable opinion of the president, including 47 percent whose opinion is "very positive" — both all-time highs for Obama in the poll.

Rush is a key part of that machinery, though not directly affiliated, he is a dependable, consistent, predictable key to getting the Conservative message out... and filling in "the rest of the story". Obama knows that, aimed and aims to destroy. It's what he knows, what he has done in this and past elections... it's in Obama's nature to clear the deck.
This time it won't be easy. Clinton learned the hard way too.

The whole Limbaugh hoopla going on right now is just more of the same crap democrats always pull, the fear tactic. They somehow think that their propoganda of claiming Limbaugh is the leader of the GOP is going to scare conservatives off.
The real fear is on the part of the democrats, if Limbaugh is such a fanatic, then they'd just let him ramble on. Unfortunately for the dems, Limbaugh exposes them for the frauds that they are.
Democrats comment on the unprecedented spectacle of a right wing radio host speaking for the entire Republican party, and somehow that makes them Machiavellis, controlling the spectacle. You are obviously running out of excuses, better run to Boss Rush for some new talking points.
No talking points here, I fly solo.
The only excuses are the ones coming from the White House and the democrats, as they try to put out an ever increasing barrage of fires fueled by their own ineptitude.
Yes... and was replaced with malfeasance and incompetence.I think they only mentioned it once. In case you hadn't noticed, the ineptitude stopped on January 20.
THIS is why only 20% of Americans have a favorable opinion of the Republican party. THIS is why Republicans lost the White House, the Senate and the House. THIS is why the Republican party is on its way out, to the same fate as the Whigs. We have come to the core of Republican ideology, and here it is in its unvarnished truth.....a cadre of hateful, small minded, conspiratorial manipulators who care nothing for America. Bring on your spite, bring on your "heroes" and "patriots", keep on praying for the failure of the administration legally elected by the majority... America is watching, and your hpocrisy is in full view.
As president, why is it so hard for President Obama to understand the skeptisim that an American would have for a socialist style government? Why doesn't he spend less time chastising Rush and more time explaining what he feels will be the long term outcomes of these very aggressive spending policies.?Look at this...

You guys just don't have a clue. By painting Limbaugh as the leader of the GOP, which he is, Democrats are not trying to scare conservatives off. What they are doing is marginalizing conservatives by making Limbaugh the face of the conservative movement, and thus scaring moderates and independents off.
how is that working out for ya?
Quite well. The Republican base is now the smallest it has been in decades. Democrats are by far the majority party. Obama has strong approval ratings. Republicans have abysmal approval ratings. So how is making Limbaugh the poster boy of the movement working for yall?
 you believe your own hype....
btw I started a thread were we can discuss what he actually says instead of this third party talking point regugitation, wont you join me?
Its not hype, its reality. Obama's approval rating is at 68%. The Republican base is now the smallest it has been since Watergate. Republicans right now have no support at all among moderates and independents.
 ahh ok, he has an average approval rating as any president since nixon but there is no point in trying to convince a "true believer".
and what no response to the other part of my post?
The point is that the way forward for Republicans is not to move even further to the right. This is not the same country it was 30 years ago.
Where is your other thread?
