Oh, don't get me wrong. It think Hutchison could very well get elected. But I think as governor she'd very quickly be knocked down and out. One term and gone.

I am not sure about that, but you could be right. However, no matter what happens, she would be a lot better than what we have right now. We have Perry, who was joined at the hip to Bush, versus Hutchinson, who is a genuine Conservative. I'll take her, unless Kinky runs again. Then my vote's for Kinky again. :)

I've never been a huge fan Of Sen. Hutchison. Can't really put my finger on why.. just never really liked her. Ya know I mean? Though, she's better then Perry, then again so is a convicted child rapist.

You do have a point. Blindness to ones own ideological faults is not restricted to one side or the other.

However... on the grounds of common sense, I think Liberalism as a whole fails this. I mean, relying on the government to ensure success and freedom from failure? That's just a sure sign of lack of common sense... ;)

I think conservatism as a whole fails. I mean - relying on ages old customs and traditions in the age of microbiology, embryonic stem cell research and nanotechnology? That is sure a sign that they lack the common sense to see that the future is the only way forward

I was funning with you Hatey, relax. Besides most conservatives I know have no problem with most of those (Cept the Embryonic bit... adult SC work better anyhoots).
