I've been dumped into the deep end of the pool

Chu jumps in 'deep end of the pool' - First Read - msnbc.com
At a forum with reporters on Thursday, the head of the department (of Energy) that has traditionally taken the lead on global oil-market policy, was asked what message the Obama administration had for the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries at its meeting next month.

"I'm not the administration," the Cabinet secretary replied. "I will be speaking and learning more about this in order to figure out what the U.S. position should be and what the president's position is."

Chu, who is still without a deputy, said he feels "like I've been dumped into the deep end of the pool" on oil policy.
No worries, our Energy Secretary, after one month, has no idea what he's doing or what Obama wants.
At least he paid his taxes.

Perhaps he's been too busy working on the nationalization of the oil industry with Maxine Waters.

I really don't think it matters.

So far the dept. of energy has been a money hole, and has not made us any less dependent on foreign oil like it was supposed to.

I say close it down and save a lot of money.
Also lay off the government workers that work there, let the government know that if you don't do your job,you get laid off just like the rest of America.

That should save quite a few billion.

Obama's green jobs revolution - Americas, World - The Independent

Democrat will lead effort to curb world's dependence on oil; Plans to create five million new posts in clean energy projects

Barack Obama is promising a $150bn "Apollo project" to bring jobs and energy security to the US through a new alternative energy economy

In the mayhem of the election campaign, Mr Obama has yet to deliver a major speech about his renewable energy plans. But he has pledged to create five million new "green collar jobs"
I heard Chu was busy procuring green paint for the new jobs.
