Pretty much reminiscent of the 1930's here in the USA, when we had prohibition. It didn't work then, and neither does the prohibition against marijuana. The civil war in Mexico is also spilling over into the USA, where violence in border towns is an every day occurrence.

The sooner we face the fact that the War on Drugs is a miserable failure, then legalize marijuana, and regulate it, just as we regulate alcohol, the sooner the violence and the madness will end, and the drug gangs put out of business.

Article is here.

When I was in Mexico in November we took a tour and when we crossed a state border checkpoint they had Federalis with machine guns from 1930. Of course, they also had a Humvee with a .50 caliber gun tourette. The tour guide said it was because of the drug war. Then we stopped at a shop that sold pipes. :doh

I had a similar experience in Venezuela.

I swear to God, if there is not legislation to decriminalize marijuana I will personally hold every single member of our government responsible, and question their personal grasp of modernity and sanity.

No, but all of their pipes were shaped like penises.

Bad drugs! Bad bad bad! Shame on you for insinuating an uprising.

The solution will be simple. A political coupe led by US interest shall follow a "Mexican civil war". I can just see it now, Obama parading through the skies in his fleet of $11 billion choppers;)

Chill out libs, im only joking:)
