SURPRISE! Dems Break Promise: Stimulus Bill to Floor Friday - HUMAN EVENTS

Change as in this year, next year, sometime, perhaps?
= Never

We've been debating this bill for months, and the latest changes have already been posted on the web. The Republicans have had three months to participate in the debate: not only have they refused to take part, but they are talking publicly about defenestrating the three Republicans who actually had the gall to sit down at the table and fight for what the Republicans wanted from the bill.

So you have no room to complain. Sorry!

Can you please link me to the bill in its entirety?

Thanks.

I very much doubt that the 3 Senate Republicans actually read this Bill in it's entirety.
From the time that Congress passed it, to the time it came before the Senate was not nearly enough time to plough through a document said to be some 800 pages long and 8" thick.

Obama's promise to publish a bill on the White House website for five days for comments from the public before signing has nothing whatsoever to do with how long the legislative debate process was or wasn't.

So, "sorry" for you.

It's going to be four long, long years for you if you plan to zealously, rabidly defend everything the Democrats do, 'coz from the way they've started out, there's going to be a breathtaking amount you'll have to.

Just keep this in mind . . . Obama is in the White House, and the Democrats have a wide majority in Congress. They can do anything they want and the Republicans can't stop them. They are in charge. All decisions are in their hands. Anything they do, and they way in which they do it, is entirely up to them, and no one else. They are responsible. And that's a fact.

Just like when George W. Bush was President. Say what you want, he WAS the Republican nominee. He went in and eight years after he first took office, we're in an economic meltdown. That's on the Republicans.

Ahh the fallacy of the "the President runs the economy".

They have you guys well trained don't they?

If you can point out where I've said anyone else was in charge at the time, or was to blame for the majority's decisions, please do. :2wave:

The cause of the meltdown, however, is far more complex than you seem able to comprehend.
