BBC NEWS | Americas | Venezuela synagogue suspects held

Breaking off Diplomatic relations with Israel is a decision made by Government.
Is this a reason for the Jewish Community to be fearful within a Chavez controlled Venezuela?
The Jewish community were warned shortly after Chavez came to power that he would be taking over private businesses in his desire to Socialize his nation.
Chavez has in fact nationalized several businesses but whether he will continue to follow this course is something only he knows.
For myself I hope that actions by these accused, are rare and that people who destroy buildings and seek to promote Anti-Semitic behavior are swiftly brought to justice and that further Anti-Semitic behavior is not exhibited nor condoned by the Chavez Government.

That situation is no longer the situation I remember from my 2005 visit to Venezuela. It's insane how much a place can change:

If the year was 2005 and someone showed me this (BBC NEWS | Americas | Venezuelans march against Chavez) article, I would have told them they were liars, as many Venezuelans indeed loved Chavez.

Now it seems as though he is a dictator who is struggling with a mortal complex; that he will soon have to let go of his power.
I just hope, he keeps end of the bargain. I would not want to see anything bad happen in Venezuela.

What are you talking about? What the hell does a bunch of hoodlums doing this have to do with Chavez? I could just as easily find a story about some Islamophobic/Racist/Anti-semitic/whatever people vandalizing/robbing/killing/whatever someone in the US and say "SEE BUSH/OBAMA ARE BAD".

This is as ridiculous as the petty attempt by Zionist fanatics claiming "anti-zionism = anti-semitism" which is exactly what you are trying to imply here.

What are you going on about?
