Hmmmmmm. I wonder if this brings a whole new meaning to the term "stimulus plan." :2razz:

In any event, it's another example of the culture of Wall Street corruption that has come to light in the last little while. These things have got to stop.

Investment bankers racked up $100,000s in prostitution charges
Visa, Mastercard or American Express? Or maybe a credit card from JP Morgan Chase?

Wall Street CEOs, lawyers, bankers and media executives chalked up thousands of dollars in prostitution charges on their corporate credit cards -- swiping their cards for $2,000 an hour prostitutes, according to a New York madam who plead guilty last year.

Kristin Davis, the madam in question, went public to ABC News this week; ABC will be broadcasting her interview Friday at 10 pm. Davis says she has a list of 9,800 clients, many of whom she says New York prosecutors deliberately avoided when taking her case, even though she offered them her annotated client list.

In what's sure to create a media firestorm parallel to that of when a Washington, DC madam announced that she was publishing her client list (which included at least one senator), Davis' comments come at a time where incredible ire is already focused on Wall Street and banking executives. The pressure for her to release the list will certainly be immense.

The Raw Story | Wall Street CEOs, investment bankers charged prostitutes on corporate cards, madam says

:rofl I know I should be pissed but I can't stop laughing, especially after reading the madame's allegations:
* a major New York real estate developer who, according to the list, "will come to the door wearing women's panties"
* a partner at the Wall Street law firm Cravath Swaine Moore "looking for a party girl to come fully equipped" and spent a total of $20,000
* an investment banker from Lehman Brothers who saw "Kelsey and Keely together" and later saw "Aria and Skyler at the same time"

What is a "fully equipped" party girl? ;)

In the last little while?

What? Corporate CEO, Wall Street traders, et al haven't been buying the services of protitutes now for decades? The only thing new here is that the hookers accept credit cards.

Seriously, what's all this feigned surprise or outrage about corporate corruption? You people act as though such corruption has just been uncovered or something.

I say BFD! CEOs paid hookers with plastic. What's the issue here?

They charged for hookers on corporate plastic. Not their own plastic, but corporate plastic. And count me as one of the naive ones who had no idea that banks and investiment companies were paying for hookers.

You okay with that?

Wow...I didn't even know hookers took credit cards. What a country!

Of course not, but nothing in my initial post would have suggested that anyway.

I was merely remarking on the feigned shock and surprise here regarding corporate corruption. The only difference between this contemporary hooking and prior hooking is the acceptance of plastic. It's not like corporate CEO's and Wall Streets traders just started buying the services of hookers this last year...they've been doing it all along just using cash instead and submitting inflated receipts for reimbursement.

Shoot, we saw Katrina survivors using their government plastic at strip clubs...

There's nothing new here except that hookers are accepting plastic.

I'm actually not at all unhappy about this. At least our bailout money is getting put back into the local economy instead of getting shipped overseas.

Time to invest in Fredrick's of Hollywood:mrgreen:

1. There doesn't appear to be any corroboration for this claim other than the word of the madam.

2. I will die laughing if these names go public.

If these companies are giving out dividends this year, I'll take a whore or two. In the case of these bozos, it gives new meaning to the term "selling short".
