Obama creates faith-based office with wide mission - Boston.com

Obama's order expanded and redefined a similar office established by President George W. Bush. Focused primarily on faith-based initiatives, the Bush office sparked constitutional questions about whether the separation of church and state would be preserved, particularly if groups receiving tax dollars sought to hire on the basis of religion.

Groups that were critical of the Bush faith-based office -- including the American Civil Liberties Union, Americans United for Separation of Church and State, and People For the American Way -- issued statements Thursday expressing disappointment in the Obama version. All said that by failing to repeal Bush policies, the White House will allow participating religious groups to continue discrimination in hiring.

Do you know what Mr president Obama? I really won't care if religious people prefer to hire individuals who share their same faith as long as if doing so it will facilitate their approaches helping others.

But, I strongly think that the tax dollars must go to help religious groups and the needed who are US citizens or legal residents in US only.

So, I think that every religious group that is receiving government funds must sign in a contract stipulating that they won't use the tax money to help illegal immigrants.

And the simple reason for my concern is that the tax money must go only to the ones who rightly deserve it, and that people who belong to other countries must apply for help to their correspondent embassies and consulates because such is the responsibility of those countries.

Using your own words Mr president Obama, this is not a game, and you must be sure that no corruption of any kind may be approved by you, because helping the illegal immigrants is to promote their continued wrong doing.

Of course, religious groups not receiving government help can help to whoever they want as long as the private donates allow them to do so, but this can't happen by any reason with the religious groups using the tax payers money

Correct me if I am wrong... but didn't GWB get blasted for doing this?

And yet, the Obamanistas are silent.

Hmm.

Seriously. It's not like you even had to go into the link and read. It was posted for you. Further confirming what we all knew. You're Stinger's slightly less retarded clone.

I forgot -- you don't lack the intellectual capacity necessary to figure out that by using the term "Obamanistas" I was referring to posters here at DP.

Perhaps you could now point to said criticism from said Obamanistas.

Oh wait so that's your standard? Here :

It's wrong when Bush did it. And bad now that Obama is doing.

Do you plan on retracting? Or playing like you didn't just get your ass handed to you?

A fact apparent to anyone that read my post.
Except you. Hmm.

Do you plan on retracting?
No. At the point that the statement was made, the statement was correct.

Or playing like you didn't just get your ass handed to you?
You think you handed me my ass?
Where do you get such delusions of adequacy?

Sounds like Obama did not do anything positive...

In an executive order to be announced on Thursday, Obama does not rescind Bush's provision to allow faith-based groups to discriminate in their hiring practices, but does provide a legal process for organizations to go through in order to that ensure hiring is legal and non-discriminatory.
Administration sources say the new legal safeguard is a "key step forward" in addressing the thorny issue of faith-based hiring.
But Dr. Joel Hunter, a senior pastor at Northland Church in Longwood, Florida, who will be part of a 25-member council of religious leaders in the faith-based office, said the issue is a particularly tricky one for religious leaders.
"We're going to have to work that out, because on the one hand, you don't want to use federal funds to discriminate. But on the other hand, we can't have religious organizations taking money on the condition that they will hire people who live a lifestyle contrary to what they teach," he said.

Your trolling is hard to decrypt. Excuse us.

No. At the point that the statement was made, the statement was correct.

Trolling acknowledged. You can leave the thread now.

You think you handed me my ass?

I always do. A fact apparent to anybody who reads our exchanges except for you.

Where do you get such delusions of adequacy?

Local corner store.

No. Excuse YOU. You're the only one that had any trouble understanding the point of my post, and that 'misunderstanding' was nothing more than a pathetic and deliberate attempt to avoid the issue at hand.

That, of course, is nothing new.

I always do. A fact apparent to anybody who reads our exchanges except for you
Good to see you have such an active imagination.
Given your lack of cognitive skills, it's rather surprising.

I'm sorry... did you see any criticism of The Obama in this thread before I posted?
No?
Well then...

Wow, you didn't even wait twelve whole hours to post that. Keep in mind those twelve hours people were probably sleeping. That and the fact that you couldn't find the other thread about this.

Your rabid ODS is showing. Wipe the foam off of your mouth.

So, you answer is "no, you're right, there were no citicisms of Obama before you posted".

Apology accepted.
There were no people who look exactly like me until I was born. Go troll elsewhere.

Hmm. You must not understand the definition of 'trolling'.
Oh well. Wallow at will.
