BBC NEWS | Europe | 'Holocaust bishop' told to recant

What I find distasteful about the Pope ordering a public recantation of one of his Bishops, is that this Bishop will, if he seeks to be a participant in the practices of the church, have to submit to saying something that he plainly does not believe.
I very much doubt that he will stick to his guns as it were and reiterate his beliefs.
However we shall see in due course.
Other than the above, does anyone find it strange that the various parts of this supposedly inclusive faiths governing body, simply do not communicate with each other?
The fact that the Vatican has admitted that it's head (The Pope) can make a mistake is in my opinion yet another error.
How many mistakes can this supposed Vicar of Christ have made?
Methinks this religion is headed for the dustbin of history, probably where it belongs.
