Democrats Launch Petition Against Rush Limbaugh

obama and the DNC in the shadow of the swastika now urge all that disagree with their policies to be banished from the air waves. In the same breath our muslim president catagorcally states he must and will listen to all leaders of radical muslim persuasion and communists. Women and gays are persecuted for being alive in these hell holes that obama is aligning himself with yet no mention of that rather, only anti-conservative radio show hosts are this administrations' PublicEnemy #1. So now Limbaugh is only the beginning of a purge by this untrained, unskilled, inexperienced used prophylatic of a leader we have. Time will tell as the half-a-negro evolves into to his self-righteous journey in to inevitable oblivion. Freedom of speech, freedom of expression and freedom of the press are the new target of the DNC and the pig obama. I would capitalize the first letter in his name but that would mean "tyrant" would have to be typed as "Tyrant" and that is not proper.
I'm new here but OMG, is this guy for real?

Tucker,
Apology accepted and I apologize for any offense I slighted you with. I’ve made plenty of errors at DP and will in the future too, so I can appreciate it when I meet one of the few posters here who possesses the spine to admit their errors. That truly does put you in a rare class hereabouts!

Let us hope that the Middleground class of posters, those still wallowing in ignorant and utterly vacant claims about talk radio in general and Limbaugh specifically, take the opportunity to educate themselves about their frankly dumb attempts to label and hence dismiss the audiences discussed here. The irony that they are quite uninformed as they babble about where and how people who listen talk radio get their news clearly eludes them. How else to explain their early 90’s arguments about said audiences, when the debunking of their shtick began to occur in the…..…early…………..…90’s.:dohdoh!

It takes a “brainwashed” non thinker to make the claim that people who do expose themselves to political commentary and discussion, as well as talk radio in general, are somehow less informed than those who mock this same demographic. Really just the height of self imposed ignorance IMO. Period.

Back on topic, I see now that liberal group American United for Change is joining the fray over Limbaugh’s comments.

Are you with Obama or Rush?
By Jonathan Martibn 1/29/09 8:00 PM EST

President Obama and a key outside ally are stepping up efforts to ensure passage of the massive economic stimulus package, reaching out to Congress with both carrots and sticks.

While the president and his top aides are using all the trappings of the office, courting members through phone calls, cocktail parties, West Wing sit-downs and even a politically mixed Super Bowl party, liberal groups are dispensing with the niceties and seeking to drive a wedge between Republicans and one of the right’s most influential leaders.

Politico has learned that tomorrow Americans United for Change, a liberal group, will begin airing radio ads in three states Obama won — Ohio, Pennsylvania and Nevada — with a tough question aimed at the GOP senators there: Will you side with Obama or Rush Limbaugh?

“Every Republican member of the House chose to take Rush Limbaugh’s advice,” says the narrator after playing the conservative talk radio giant’s declaration that he hopes Obama “fails.”

“Every Republican voted with Limbaugh — and against creating 4 million new American jobs. We can understand why a extreme partisan like Rush Limbaugh wants President Obama’s Jobs program to fail — but the members of Congress elected to represent the citizens in their districts? That’s another matter. Now the Obama plan goes to the Senate, and the question is: Will our Senator"—here the ad is tailored by state to name George Voinovich in Ohio, Arlen Specter in Pennsylvania, and John Ensign in Nevada—"side with Rush Limbaugh too?”

Asked to respond, Limbaugh had a message for his party.

“Senate Republicans need to understand this is not about me,” he wrote in an email. “It is about them, about intimidating them, especially after the show of unity in House. It is about the 2010 and 2012 elections. This is an opportunity for Republicans to redefine themselves after a few years of wandering aimlessly looking for a ‘brand’ and identity.”

Thanks you for accepting the apology and the compliment as well. No need to apologize for anything on your part, as my poorly worded comments led to the whole thing. The "slight" I felt was actually caused by my error, and thus you bear no responsibility.

Put your integrity where you mouth is TD...show me where I have ever been a hypocrite. I may be a lot of things, however, hypocrite is not one of them. I don't proclaim to be one thing and in actuality be another.

Really Disney dude? Okay, did you believe that one of Bush's failures was squandering the "Clinton surplus"?

Again...do you care to give a link of anyone who suggested that criticizing Obama's plan is "unpatriotic"?

Apparently reading comprehension is NOT your forte'. I suggest that you read what I posted again; your strawman arguments are banal and trite:

Yes folks, you just can't make up this liberal mumbo jumbo. If you won't join them, be censured.

The ONLY ones in the world and on this forum who can't stand free speech are the Liberals who constantly rail about how evil Fox News and Rush Limbaugh are; two supposedly minor players in the world of media empires.

But to compound the laughable state Liberals are in, they want to suggest that it was patriotic to impugn and hate George Bush, but wrong to say anything against Obama's plan to destroy the American economy and dream and they are out in fanatical droves to slam the small single voice in American that still has some reason; Rush Limbaugh.

The only thing more fantastical here is the silly assed notion being expressed by the drive-by media and Liberal Democrats that allowing the Government to spend us into a two trillion debt hole is the ONLY way to get us out of a recession.

It would be hilarious if it weren't such an impending disaster for generations of Americans and the future of our economy,

Carry on; watching you people rant and whine about Rush is about as amusing as watching you suggest that impugning the Commander and Chief while our troops are at risk is somehow patriotic. Yet now it is unpatriotic to suggest that Obama's plan is idiotic. Got hypocrisy?

Actually many do get their news (or at least sound bites and false information) from Rush and some do take him seriously.

Actually this is more of the same trite absurdity espoused by Liberals who think free speech should only include those who agree with them. Do you have any FACTS to support such inane conclusions? Of course you don't; once more we are treated with hyperbole and gross speculation in an effort to impugn those who apparently prefer to THINK than spew laughable talking points.

Are you seriously saying NO CONSERVATIVE WHATSOEVER takes Rush Seriously?

Conservatives, Democrat and Republican alike, mainly listen to Rush because he is damned funny and entertaining and expresses what many of them already believe and think.

The best part of Rush's show, which you wouldn't know because it is obvious you rarely if ever listen to him, is when he plays tapes of the Liberals like Obama saying one thing in 2007 and then something totally opposite in 2008.

I can understand why the Left hates him when he exposes their lies and distortions by using their OWN speeches, but this is what makes his show so damned good. In addition, I always look forward to his musical spoof tributes to Liberals who think that the ONLY answer to Americans economic problems is MORE Government and HIGHER taxation.

Carry on; I look forward to more of your uninformed yet grossly exaggerated claims about things you obviously know little or nothing about. :rofl

Then it is obvious you don't know too many Limbaugh listeners then because you've even admitted BY YOURSELF plenty of people take him seriously.

Or is it you are claiming only those on the left take him serisouly.

Because then you would be full of **** because those on the left aren't contributing to his funds.

So then most of you on the right take him seriously enough to contribute money to. That says a lot.

I take a look at my paycheck each month, and none of it is contributed to Rush or any other left wing pundit. How does that fair for you on the right who support him with money.

I'd say those on the right are the most fooled. While those on the left may hate him, the idiots on the right actually send the fool money :rofl

Once more you illustrate blatant ignorance of how the REAL world works by making the above claims that someone is somehow "contributing" money to Rush Limbaugh.

Here's a clue for the uninformed: Rush EARNS his own money by SELLING advertising to companies who BELIEVE that the people LISTENING to his show will actually BUY their products. We call this FREE MARKET ENTERPRISE and it is what makes the economy WORK.

Now when discussing Liberal talk radio, you would be indeed correct because no one actually listens to their shows and so they require "contributions" to keep themselves on the air; but alas, even with contributions they go OFF the air in bankruptcy aka Air America.

This economic lesson is free in an effort to educate Liberals and leftists who still don't get how things REALLY work.

Carry on; it is a fascinating study in denial reading your trite commentaries. :rofl

I, for one, would welcome a list of Rush Limbaugh sponsors, which I would boycott and write letters to management. I have googled without finding a current list, does anyone have a link?

Wow! And ~BOOM~ goes the dynamite.

Word.

What's funniest about this schtick is that, as Rush has ably noted, Democrats have indicated to us that hypocrisy is man's greatest failure or shortcoming. This is clear when you look at how Democrats respond to guys like Rush, Newt, Foley that behave in hypocritical ways...they attack the hypocrisy, not the failing itself (drug use, gambling, whatever Foley was doing) which doesn't seem to concern the Democrats at all.

Yet, the Democrats routinely behave in hypocritical fashion and they excuse it among themselves as being more nuanced, setting aside ideology and partisanship, etc., and patting themselves on the back.

And you think that anyone, particularly Rush and his advertisers, would care? :rofl

Here's another clue; do you think you are the first Liberal to ever threaten to boycott his advertisers and show? :rofl

Who is the leader of the Republican party now?

And this is what makes Rush's show so entertaining; he is adept at exposing the blatant hypocrisy, lies and distortions of the left and Liberals.

The most amusing response from those "tolerant" "free speech" Liberals is their desperate rhetoric to suggest that people like Rush should be shut down. :rofl

Who is the leader of the Republican party now?

Obama thinks it's Rush Limbaugh.

Who knows who is leading the GOP? The GOP is currently in the process of filling the RNC chair position. Some GOP House members are rising to the top as they successfully engineered a huge doughnut hole on the stimulus vote (which, btw, was a huge egg on Obama's face as he was sent to the Hill to shore up GOP House support).

We have the righty think tanks with very influential conservative voices.

So who knows?

Actually I find it amazingly entertaining for the exact opposite reasonings:lol:

oxycontin anyone?

I really don't care, and your rofl attitude doesn't bother me. There is very little I can do to express my displeasure with Rush Limbaugh, but one thing I can do is not buy products from his sponsors.

Who is the leader of the Republican party now?

The people I am rooting for would be Bobby Gindahl or Tim Pawlenty. They are Conservatives who know how to stay on message regardless of what is popular with the media and can guide the party back to it's principles of less and more responsible Government.

America was founded on these Liberal Democratic principles and the Republican party needs to get back to basics regardless of the ignorance of the voting public and their belief that politicians who pander to them by giving them something for nothing is actually a good thing for them.

What are those principles that made our nation the greatest in the world?

Rush got busted big time.

How was Rush busted? Was he put in jail? Was he prosecuted for getting addicted to a controlled substance used to treat a bad back?

This is what exposes the hypocrisy from Liberals regarding Rush's addiction and is quite amusing; you make excuses and care about drug addicts as long as they agree with your profoundly weak political views. But when Rush gets addicted to the crapola taking it for a bad back, he is impugned and should be incarcerated.

You just can't make up the level of intolerance, distortions, hyperbole and outright hypocrisy it takes to be a Liberal people.

Rush got busted big time.

It never amazes me when the so-called compassionate crowd laughs at a person for addiction to pain killers. Do you realize how easy it is to aget addicted when you're in chronic pain? Or is that funny, too? It's not like the guy got hooked on horse or ecstacy (sp? I'm not a druggie).
