Democrats Launch Petition Against Rush Limbaugh

I thought it was frothing at the mouth not speaking:mrgreen:

You would be wrong again; at least you are consistent. The frothing is the realm of the Liberals who froth at the mouth wanting to impugn Rush's show and shut him down.

Carry on; I look forward to correcting more of your willing denial and misinformation. :2wave:

The Dems are making a huge mistake trying to take on Limbaugh. They're going to be so sorry that they ever mentioned his name. They need to drop the petition and just walk quietly away. Obama needs to be careful about Limbaugh too. Unlike some of Obama's other opponents, Rush has a 3 hour daily show, and knows how to speak.

There's no point in "taking on rush"

What is accomplished by giving publicity to someone you dislike? The keyword is in there if you look hard enough :doh

I think America will speak with their pocket books. Just like with the Dixie Chicks.

I hardly doubt that Rush Limbaugh will lose a single listener over the Obamacrats whining. :violin

In fact, he might even pick up a few.

If Limbaugh listeners really felt Rush was a detriment to our society, they would not be tuning in therefore his market share would drop and his sponsors would diminish and Rush would then have to suck much cheaper cigars.

That's the way it works here in America. The market will decide.

But just think. If Rush can capture just 6 % to 12% of our society, who eat that kinda mush up, do you realize how many people that would be? Quite enough to keep making millions in advertising dollars.

It's no different for Bill Maher or any of those other extremist talking heads.

It's no different from any other sort of entertainment. When the music starts suckin' you quit buying the records. And everyone has their own tastes in music too. It's all relative.

If that were true than Obama wouldn't be going bananas over him.

It is true. Limbaugh is a joke. He is sensationalism personified. Anyone who takes the man seriously is foolish (and that includes Obama).

Sounds like the ones that are going into a tizzy are conservatives over the The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee expressing it's rights of free speech against Rush.

The Rushbots don't like free speech when it goes against their mesiah Rush.

Are you kidding? This is the best thing to happen to Rush since that letter he auctioned on eBay.

You are wrong, Obama takes him seriously because Limbaugh has him pegged seven ways from Sunday.

Like I said earlier, I don't know who is more pathetic; the idiotic Democrats who take him seriously enough to launch a petition or the absurd extreme Conservatives who take him seriously enough to actually agree with what he says.

You are wrong, Obama takes him seriously because Limbaugh has him pegged seven ways from Sunday.

I disagree.

Obama takes him seriously because too many people listen to Limbaugh. If Obama ignores him, he is ignoring American citizens.

But telling republicans not to listen to Rush *is* ignoring the concerns and viewpoints of millions of Americans. You can't just shush the opposition. If he really wanted to reach across the aisle, he'd have invited Mr Limbaugh to that meet the conservative media dinner he hosted a few weeks ago.

He was charged with "DOCTOR SHOPPING", not being "busted" for drugs as you suggest. In addition, he was "charged" but not prosecuted or incarcerated for drugs. He has no felony or record. Therefore, your original hypocrisy stands: "he was busted BIG time." :2wave:

Once again....you are just plain and simply WRONG....he was prosecuted and given a diversion program....the same that all first time drug addicts are given....

Apparently reading comprehension is NOT your forte'. I suggest that you read what I posted again; your strawman arguments are banal and trite:

Really Disney dude? Okay, did you believe that one of Bush's failures was squandering the "Clinton surplus"?

Yes....I have argued that. But how does that make me a hypocrite? If Obama was squandering GWB's surpluses...I might agree...unfortunately for anyone who has been coherent for the last 8 years....there isn't any surplus to squander.
Again...put your integrity where your mouth is and supply a post where I have been hypocritical....I'm still waiting.

Nice.

Truth Detector isn't detecting much.

So your argument now is that it wans't the Bush deficits you were railing at, it was the squandering of the surplus? How inept and weak.

You are correct, now that I re-read it, I did type that in a later paragraph and I will stand by the statement because I know it is what is intended when whiney Liberals who claimed it was patriotic to impugn Bush and obstruct his efforts but now whine that it is wrong to withhold support for Obama’s efforts to bury future Americans in a vast pile of debt and worthless American money (which happens when we PRINT more of it to pay our obligations without tax increases to pay for them - DER).

We call this hypocrisy and irony.

I don't believe millions of Americans want Obama to fail. I think Rush is becoming marginilized and his opinions increasingly radicalized.

I totally believe it. There are two (of voting age) in my household.

Almost 60 million people voted for McCain because they didn't want Obama's leftist ideology to become U.S. policy. Rush Limbaugh has about 14 million listeners. Anyone who thinks Limbaugh's ideas are "radicalized" or "marginalized" (as compared to someone like Pelosi?) doesn't listen to Limbaugh.

I don't believe millions of Americans want Obama to fail. I think Rush is becoming marginilized and his opinions increasingly radicalized.

They want his POLICIES to fail; in other words, Congress comes to its senses and doesn't bury this nation in two trillion dollars of debt to advance another Liberal agenda destined to fail.

I am amused when so many Liberals state this, but they wished for and claimed failure for Bush at every opportunity.

So you're saying millions of Americans DO want Obama to fail? How would that be good for America?

If Obama's socialist policies fail. The Recession will not last nearly as long, and this country will retain its freedom.

Can't make it simpler for you.

Don't worry about making it "simple" for me. If the Obama administration fails in its efforts to correct the recession, if Republicans and right wingers put their energies toward obstruction instead of reconstruction, the result will be not a longer recession, but a depression, which no amount of conservative rhetoric or tax cuts will solve.

No matter how often you link the words "Obama" and "socialist", the president is attempting to reverse the Republican-caused economic failure in the only way that government can influence such a catastrophe, through economic stimulus. Call it "socialist" or whatever you want, the fact is that you caused it, and we are trying to fix it.

Few people accept that Republicans or conservatives have a clue how to get out of the mess they caused, they only want to prevent the Democrats from achieving any success.
