As opposed to what...."shock and awe"....yeah.....that worked so well.....
Actually it did - almost flawlessly too. It was what came after the "shock and awe" that ****ed things up. But since you have no understanding of history, I'll give you a pass on your blind partisan hatred this time.

What did it accomplish?
Thought our boys in fatigues were gonna have any problems mowing through what was left of the Iraqi military?

It accomplished the overthrow of one of the biggest terrorists in the entire middle east, or did you forget that part? And our military didn't have any problems mowing through the Iraqi military, it was the piss poor planning afterwards that led to the cluster**** that Iraq turned into.

We rushed into war, didn't plan out the post Saddam part of the bigger picture and it hurt us - big time. I'm no fan of how this war has been fought, but to leave out certain parts is nothing more than revisionist history - which is exactly what several of you are trying to do here. Gotta take the good with the bad.

You missed my point. I basically said that the shock and awe was unnecessary in bringing down Saddam.

Seriously, now Saddam's a terrorist as well (I was fine with him just being an insane totalitarian, who was paranoid to the point where he would not have allowed terrorists, or anyone else with much authority work from within his borders) . Please, god, find a new word. I can no longer direct my hate.

Terrorist, Terrorist-State, Rogue State, Terrorist-Rogue State. Rogue-Terrorist State.

Good going with buying into the term of the generation.

The administration called their strategy "shock and awe," but I don't really believe that was what it was. The creator of the strategy, Harlan Ullman, didn't really think so either.
