Official: UN may prosecute Bush administration, regardless of US action

For those of you who want Bush to be prosecuted for war crimes. What of Obama, should he be prosecuted for war crimes as well since he authorized the attacks on homes in Waziristan? Innocent children were killed. Im sure it is just the first of many actions taken by the United States under his tenure as Commander and Chief.

They are irrelevant. You have a group that has member states that gun down their own populations in the streets and hang them from lamp posts and meat hooks trying to charge a US president with war crimes. They are just pissed because Bush did not knuckle under to them when he decided to invade Iraq. Right or wrong Bush made the decisions he thought were best for the US. In that very narrow thing I give him credit for having the balls to tell the UN to go stuff themselves. Many Americans were tired of the UN and their crap long before Bush came along.

That's a false analogy. Bush committed war crimes by ordering torture, not by accidentally killing civilians.

You don't even know what a war crime is.

I have supported Israel's right to bomb the **** out of any place that rockets aimed at them come from. War sucks. Palestinians elected Hamas into power and it's up to them to get rid of them. We got rid of the criminals running our country. Now, they need to do the same.

You dont UNDERSTAND the UN.

Most Americans think the UN is a joke JUST because of the so called oil for food "scandal"..
But then again, they always refer to UN resolutions as the same time, about Iraq for example or when nations they want are sanctioned, the US is going through that whole process.

Dont forget that every day the US is in Iraq is a crime against humanity and war crimes committed by the previous administration.

I know what a war crime is. The point Im trying to make is that there are many calling for Bush to be brought up on war crimes charges for invading the sovereign nation of Iraq. There are governments asking the UN to bring Israel up on war crimes charges. Obama has authorized attacks that have resulted in the death of innocent children. I am simply asking, should he face war crimes charges for attacking a sovereign nation. There are many people who believe that the war on Iraq was a war crime in of itself. So how is that any different than what Obama has done?

I would say the difference is that the war on OBL/al'Qaeda is justified while the war on Hussein/Iraq was not.

No actually I thought they were a joke back when they honored Idi Amin the cannible dictator of Uganda. I thought they were a joke when they denied.
Taiwan the right to be a member of the UN.

Do you know who was the US Ambassador to the UN when that happened?

George Bush senior. He assured the Taiwanese that the US was behind them all the way even up to the point of escorting the Taiwanese delegation into the chamber for the voting and then sold them out. That was to appease the Chinese communist.

Bush committed war crimes when he lied to the world his reasons for invading Iraq.

Obama has done none of these.

What's going on in Israel/Gaza is no comparison.

Obama would turn him over in complete defiance of US judicial procedure? Do you really think Obama has THAT little respect for the US judiciary? Reid or Polosi, perhaps might do something like that, but I don't think Obama would stoop that low.

That whole Taiwan mess was actually the dictator Chiang's fault. Now, the US along with most of the countries of the world are opposed to Taiwan joining the UN as an independent nation although China has no legal claim to the island nation.
