Libya's Kadhafi says Obama means a 'new America'-US-World-The Times of India
Libyan leader Moamer Kadhafi, who applauded Barack Obama's election

Kadhafi...underscored what he said was the "need to give an historic world opportunity to President Obama

He said he hoped Obama's campaign call for change would mean that the country is neither "imperialist nor hostile to the peoples."

Kadhafi said there are "now positive signs, such as the (expected) closure of the prison in Guantanamo, the withdrawal from Iraq and a review of the American presence in Afghanistan."

"This can be considered the beginning of the victory of blacks in America, who were slaves but are now becoming masters," Kadhafi said
Isn't that comforting? I feel all warm inside.

My guess is he speaks for all the thugs in the world.

Doesn't nature dictate the vulnerable are attacked?

Buckle up.

I'm not sure if anyone told you or not but the campaign is over. So all of the attempts at negative association by terrorists or whomever supporting Obama that didn't matter then don't matter now. Nice try, though.
The point is the enemy sees us in a different light.
A better light?

In the precise light Joe Biden said "Obama would be tested in his first six months."

There are several fronts that could cause irritation or worse. Russia. China. North Korea. Iran. Iraq (Syria-Iran).

The campaign is over.
Our enemies know that.
I sense they like the new circumstances.

I think his point was that there's a reason the thugs in the world are happy that Obama is Presdient, and that reason isnt something that we should be happy about.

So what? Here in Texas, the KKK chapter in Camilla loved George Bush. That doesn't mean Bush is a Klansman.

On the other hand, if your argument holds any water at all, I heard that a couple of gay people like you. That means you are gay.

So i don't get it. It is a bad thing that our enemies are viewing us more favorably than prior? It would be better they continue viewing us with maximum animosity?

If you have had sand in your underwear for ages, and you finally get a new pair that is clean and sand free, would you not be less apt to scratch?

They are looking favorably at Obama's presidency... not favorably at the US.

Uh, where was zimmer attempting to draw an association between Obama and Ghadaffi?

Answer: he was not.

Try again.

Some of you guys are going a little bonkers...just sayin'.

Well that is a good thing, since it is our government that is the source of the enmity and not the populace. Regardless, my point is less aggravation amongst those that do not exactly look at us favorably is beneficial.

So what? Are you saying that Obama is dangerous just because he has more of an international appeal than Bush did?

ABC News: Exclusive: Petraeus Wants to Go to Syria; Bush Administration Says No

Petraeus proposed visiting Syria shortly after taking over as the top U.S. commander for the Middle East.

The idea was swiftly rejected by Bush administration officials at the White House, State Department and the Pentagon.

Petraeus, who becomes the commander of U.S. Central Command (Centcom) Friday, had hoped to meet in Damascus with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. Petraeus proposed the trip, and senior officials objected, before the covert U.S. strike earlier this week on a target inside Syria's border with Iraq.

White House scoffs at Petraeus Syria plan - UPI.com

"When the timing is right, we ought to go in there and have a good discussion with the Syrians," said a Defense Department official close to Petraeus. "It's a meaningful dialogue to have."

I really wonder when zimmer whether zimmer will now start calling him Gen. Betrayus.

I heard Reagan left a final request if Khadafi gets too cocky. ;)

That libyan guy, I don't know him well, but I have heard of his links with terrorist groups. He is a friend of Chavez and Ahmadinejad, must be defeated by the U.S.

Funny how a little tough guy like that only shows up when there's a Democrat in office.

Really? I thought bin Laden showed up when Bush was in office.

Seriously, though. I think there are more important things to worry about than who likes who. They are called issues. Bring some issues up about Obama. More than likely, I will agree with you. But don't be repeating silly nonsense like this. It's really irrelevant, especially during a time of crisis, such as we are facing now.

Was not it bush cheney that took quadifi off the terrorist list

Look buster, we'll decide what's silly or not. SM, if you want to be silly you go right ahead.

He is a terrorist. It doesn't matter if appears only with democrat or republican governments.

Hamas, Eta, Libya, Iran, Venezuela, Bolivia, Cuba, Nicaragua, Ecuador, Farc, Belarus, Al-Qaeda, Taliban, North Korea and my math teacher of 5th grade are and always will be terrorist groups.

Math teachers can be treacherous.
