Libya's Kadhafi says Obama means a 'new America'

Funny how a little tough guy like that only shows up when there's a Democrat in office.
He's actually been there the whole time. I think what you're referring to is that you have taken notice of him.

I say stomp him in the ground unlike what the Bush Cheney administration did.

Really? I thought bin Laden showed up when Bush was in office.

Seriously, though. I think there are more important things to worry about than who likes who. They are called issues. Bring some issues up about Obama. More than likely, I will agree with you. But don't be repeating silly nonsense like this. It's really irrelevant, especially during a time of crisis, such as we are facing now.
How people forget. Forget the Iranian Hostage Crisis, The bombings of our Embassies in Africa on Clinton's watch, the USS Cole, Bali, London, Madrid, Turkey, Tunesia... 911.

People forget the Soviets response to Kennedy, the cost of meeting the Soviets without preconditions. It was their perception that Kennedy was weak that sparked their aggressive responses in Cuba and East Germany.

Irrelevant it's not.
It's real life.
When do aggressors strike?
When they perceive weakness. It's Nature's way.
It's the Art of War.

We are at war.

Osama's kind and giving group of merry travelers planned their attacks as Clinton was in office.
They planned their attacks after the 42nd president waved his finger and said we will hunt you down after each incident and did nothing.

It was such weakness that emboldened the terrorists.

It was such weakness that Sandy Berger entered the National Archives and stole highly classified records, shoving them down his pants.
The Clintons had to cover their tracks... their weakness.

One of the terror related documents from the Clinton WH was recovered.

Obama is seen as weak by our enemies.
His first actions only add to the perception.
This makes America appear more vulnerable, appeasing pacifists by motioning to close Guantanamo... for national security reasons... LOL

And it was The Joe Biden that stated the obvious. Obama will be tested in his first 6-months.
After all, he not only sounds weaker than Clinton, and his actions illustrate this weakness.

That Reagan traded arms for. Carter stood up.
Memo to Reagan.
Carter unwisely ignored his advice and prolonged the ordeal.

CONFIDENTIAL MEMORANDUM FOR GOVERNOR RONALD REAGAN
SUBJECT: THE MISHANDLING OF THE “IRANIAN HOSTAGE CRISIS”
A background analysis and strategic approach,
for use in facilitating the release of the Americans
held captive.
...
From the outset, we have been negotiating with a tough, cynical and criminal
adversary, who has been trying to extract an extortionary price for the return of our
illegally detained diplomats. The arena may be International Diplomacy and the stakes
human lives, but Khomeni and his mullahs, have been operating like rug merchants in the
classic Persian Rug Sellers Bazaar. To them, these innocent Americans are merchandise
or “rugs for sale” and they have consistently manipulated our media, our emotions and
more significantly, a United States President, in their attempt to secure a maximum
selling price.

Wasn't sure who you were talking about, and required further clarification so the post would be accurate.

Cohen has been an adviser to Presidents on the Middle East.

He's given excellent advice, and insight to the thugs we have to deal with in that region. Carter ignored his advice, Reagan took it and acted upon it... and got results.

I believe he advised Clinton as well.

I guess Cohen upsets your Utopian world view because it calls for acting from a position of strength and generally finds the socialists manner of dealing with crisis as tragically flawed?

My thinking is you haven't read all the stuff he's posted.

I'm not sure if anyone told you or not but the campaign is over. So all of the attempts at negative association by terrorists or whomever supporting Obama that didn't matter then don't matter now. Nice try, though.
The campaign is over, and now the words and posture has consequences. Israeli's reaction I have little doubt was timed for the incoming President (assist to Hamas for being so utterly stupid).

Seems the first kook is poking his head out of his hole and finds the climate ripe for testing.

This is nothing but expected... and is precisely what I inferred when the thread was initiated.

Welcome to the Real World.

SKorea army on alert after North's military threat

The latest harsh rhetoric from the isolated regime appeared aimed at heightening tensions on the divided peninsula and could be a test for Barack Obama days before he is sworn in as the new U.S. president.

"North Korean wants to draw Obama's attention," said Kim Yong-hyun, a professor at Seoul's Dongguk University.

Its not about "like', but "respect". Guys like Kadhafi and bin Laden are the quintessential schoolyard bullies, in that will only attack a target that they perceive is weak.

I will start grabbing the Bibles and guns...

So bin Laden perceived Bush as weak?

So bin Laden perceived Bush as weak?
In short, after eight years of having a presidency (The Clintons) with no spine, a couple who polled their way through office (read Dick Morris' book), passed off tough decisions about national security to the UN... YES... Osama did perceive America as a country that was weak. Without resolve. Without the guts to take on difficult tasks.

It has been noted by the terrorists that they were surprised by the reaction of Bush.

I'm sure they didn't expect the Socialists of Amerika Party (SAPs) to attack their own president after authorizing him to use force, but they surely were welcoming of the assistance given to their cause by the SAPs and their propagandists in the press. It's the party Osama and his band of Merry Beheaders had learned to love... and were happy to see it return to its roots.
