I am so happy that Obama chose Clinton as Sec. of State.
Not only does she have good foreign policy experience but she should be president in my opinion, and this just puts her at the front for 2012, if Obama doesn't try for reelection.

Now Obama can finally get someone on Irans ass when we need it the most.

Do you think it is unethical for her to hold such a position while her husband collects contributions from foreign governments?

Blind links are not cool. Sneaky people sometimes try getting others' IP addies that way.

But if you want to make sure no one reads your linked info just continue hiding them.

If he screws up real bad or assasinated. Yeah I think I'm for real. And those are just two very plausible situations.

Do you think it is unethical for her to hold such a position while her husband collects contributions from foreign governments?

Absolutely not. Her high position has nothing to do with her husband colecting contributions. This is HER job, not his.

That is a main reason why she didn't win the nomination, because everyone saw it as Bill trying to get the chance to be in office again, even if it is through her.

Adding the word, "Article" to your link hides the identity from readers and they have to trust that the link hidden by the word, "Article" isn't a bogus one.

If you wanted to collect people's IP addresses for purposes of monitoring or phishing or other mischief you could set up your own website and then put bogus info on it and no one would be suspicious but you'd have a key to doing all kinds of bad stuff.

Those who are aware of such tactics never click on blind links. So, instead of being cool and helpful all you are doing is preventing readers from going to your linked site when you obscure the URL of your linked article.

It is her job ,however, don't you think he will have influence on policy positions. Why are these foreign countries contributing money to his charity? It may be a rhetorical question because I know you don't know. The skeptic in me says this stinks and its a way to buy access to the president and favorable foreign policy.

What the hell is her foreign policy experience?

Because I really seem like the type that tries to steal IPs or whatever. Sorry, if I didn't word it right, I'm not exactly making topics often.

I think Obama has more class than to allow other countries to buy his support by giving money to his secretary of states, husband.

Also, I'm pretty damn sure hes going to influence her decisions, but he has come the closes to middle eastern peace, but this is still her job and I trust her judgement enough to know when to listen to Bill and when not too.

What the hell is her foreign policy experience?

She was First Lady for 8 years and was sent to foreign countries on envoys to promote free healthcare. She is also a Senator, and she is one of the few senators fighting for Darfur, and other foreign policy objectives, besides Iraq and Afghanistan. She's not as dumb as many people think. Also, we know she influenced Bill as much as he will influence her, so she obviously did something right, because the country wasnt a one-hundreth as bad as it is today when Bill was President.

Why of course!!! They're Democrats, and we trust them.

Why is it "not cool"?
Couldn't a "sneaky person" up to mischief type in the words "General News - Senate confirms Clinton as secretary of state" just as easily as they could type in "article"?

When I link to an article, I usually post something like, "And here's an article which illustrates my point", and then I post the link, with the word "link".
It just looks tidier than typing in some big long headline.
And a truly savvy paranoiac would be suspicious of the link whether it was posted under one word (such as 'link" or "article") or an entire headline's worth of words.

Half the Arab countries in the middle east have contributed millions to "Slick Willie" and she has to negotiate with them.........

God help us.............

I understand your enthusiasm but I would remember that Pres. Obama and Hillary are politicians first. Politicians have had a clear track record of using their power for personal gain. IMO she will use her position for wealth and power at our expense.

Why of course!!! They're Democrats, and we trust them.

I'm not impressed with anyone that has an R or D by their name. It's clear what they are after and who will pay. At least the majority supports them!

Was the sarcasm not obvious enough?

Senators don't do foreign policy. All Hillary-foreign policy arguments basically boil down to her living in the White House. My dad's an engineer and I lived with him most of my life. Doesn't mean I know **** about engineering. I don't think she's dumb, she's probably very smart, but it is a lie to say she has any foreign policy experience at all.

Whoa!

I think her history, The Clintons (remember they are a 2-fer one package) lack of honesty, and conflicts of interest should have disqualified her from the post.

Re: Whoa! I look forward to seeing how B.O. handles the Iranians. To watch his mastery of foreign affairs. His no-preconditions pow-wow with those that hate America. I want to see him embrace the idiots of the world so they know we are not trying to punish them. The New Way... being the old Carter way.

Who knows... maybe it will work this time... ROTFLMAO.

My guess is after accepting the SoS spot, Hillary's political career is done and she knows it. This is her last stop. Last Hurrah. I'd also venture Obama will dispose of her at an opportune time so she's not positioned to run in 2012. After all, he likes clearing the field of opponents.
