Newsmax.com - Experts: Iran Will Have Nuke This Year
“Thus all indicators point toward the development of an Iranian nuclear capability with varying estimates not about whether Iran is doing so, but instead when it will have such weapons,” the report says.

The new report details how in 2006 drawings were discovered on computers owned by Swiss businessmen that included how to build a warhead that could be fitted on an Iranian ballistic missile. Whether these drawings were earlier passed on to Iran is not certain.

The nuclear-related documents allegedly included hundreds of pages of specifications for a compact nuclear device that could have been designed for Iran.
I think it's time for Obama to make good on his Jimmy Carter fashioned foreign policy plan to meet with the Iranian kooks without preconditions, do his peace pipe thing, and get his lunch handed to him.

What a message to the world that will be. Everyone will love us again, and The Kooks just might give up their nukes for a bunch of Tonka toys.

Hell, my bet is they will be so impressed with B.H. Obama that they'll recant their statement about eliminating Israel and actually ask the Israeli's for forgiveness.

He better act fast though, time is ticking.

It's disgusting that there are people so partisan here that they want Iran to get a nuclear weapon just to make Obama look bad. You're a disgusting excuse for a human being. I spit on you.

Glad you find a nuclear Iran so hilarious. I'm sure the Israelis share your jolly good sense of humor. :2wave:

Hey I have some great 9/11 jokes that I'm sure you'll love:

What is Al-Qaeda's favorite football team? The New York Jets.
What is the New York Fire Department's favorite song? "It's Raining Men."
When does a pentagon only have four sides? When it intersects a plane.

Or he could be like Bush and start another war and leave it for the next president to clean up.

Why don't you write a letter to all the combatants and inform them that the war has expired.

This is not breaking news. Anyone who's been watching the issue knew this before you posted your biased op-ed. Key word: "Capability". Your right-wing news source points out the obvious and well known facts and uses "a panel of experts says it" to make it recent news. Iran has placed itself in a position to quickly develop nuclear weapons should the need arise. The whole idea that we should be scrambling to build up our missile defenses is ridiculous.

As usual, you are making no sense. But then again, maybe you are thinking like Bush :rofl

Zimmer, do yourself a huge favour and remove Newsmax from your bookmarked favourites. Trust me, it'll be best for you and everyone else. Thanks.

You spit, you miss. It's on your pant leg if you've got a hard time finding your booger.

Ah, I see you are wound a wee bit tight... big day for the Cult....which might explain your bit of brain fade.

Where did you read, and where did I state:

1. I want Iran to get a nuke?
2. I want B.H. Obama to fail?

You see, the world has let the Iranians move towards their goal.

Also, I have not put words in Obama's mouth. He, B.H. Obama, wanted to meet our enemies without preconditions. HIS WORDS. He said not talking to them wasn't a form of punishment, and he'd correct this.

This is Carter-like in its naivete.

Let me provide a guide to the disaster it would be for Obama to do this: Past Papers - Herb Cohen on Negotiating and Selling

I simply put one and one together and suggested Obama get his dog and pony show on the road to save Humanity.

You know... let's recite it all together now:

Hope.
Change.

Have you lost faith already Kandahar?

OK. What do you think Obama should do about Iran?

My God Cohen talks for pages about absolutely nothing but partisan bitterness. What a terrible source to reference, you don't honestly believe what this guys says about foreign policy do you?

Ok, I know you may not have meant those to be funny, but I lol'd.

Yeah maybe they'll all sing cum ba ya, hardy har har. That makes sense. Maybe you're thinking like Obama. Come on!

This is old news. "Iran will have a nuke any day now" has been in headlines and anti-Iran speeches for the past few years.

Move along, nothing to see here.:doh

Though i often wonder if Iran getting a nuke would be as catastrophic as many are making it out to be. I was watching an interview with Kenneth Waltz a while back that was taken some time before the invasion of Iraq and he argued that even if Saddam had nukes and had ties with terroists the rules of Mutually Assured Destruction would still apply.

This is because if any terroist in the world used a nuke against the west Saddam Hussein would automatically be blamed and Iraq would be nuked in return, whether Saddam Hussein was responsible or not.

Now that Iran has inherited Iraqs status as international boggyman its argueable that the same rules apply. Both leaders were dispicable human beings but neither were stupid or irrational. Kim Jong Ill on the other hand.....

OK. What do you think Obama should do about Iran?
Jeez, I was hoping for an apology. You know, the New Way and all.

Hope.
Change.
Unite.

I think he should carry out his plans.
You know, have a pow wow and smoke-a-da-peace pipe mon. Not.

It's a nasty business having to protect a nation, work with allies an entire region hates, but at some point the nuke program has to be taken out.

It's on His shoulders now.

At some point he'll have to "Bomb, bomb, bomb... bomb, bomb Iran".

Words don't stop nukes with kooks.

Did you read his analysis about the region.
You like accuracy don't you?
Guess not.

The guy has been deadly accurate. He knows the people we are dealing with.
Carter ignored him.

B.O. seems to have not noticed Carter's failure of majestic proportions.

Is he doomed to repeat them, or was it one of his Freshman mistakes?

Time will tell.

You serious?

Must be an Obamatron.

Do you believe that we will be able to bomb Iran without any serious repercussions, and that we will be able to wipe out the thousands of underground nuclear sites without a single exception?

Actually I feel quite bad for the Israelis as they just can't seem to catch a break and have someone let them exist.

Like I have stated before...the whole Iran issue is a "catch 22".

If the U.S. sits back and does nothing and Iran's wish comes true and Israel is swept into the sea either by Iran itself or a group which just happens to aquire a nuclear bomb and Iran denies involvement...then there will be be a world outcry asking why we did nothing:doh

If the U.S. takes affirmative action and doesn't allow Iran to get a Nuclear weapon, then the world perceives us as nothing more than an arrogant bully.(when truely we probably saved Israels from a seemingly innevitable genicide):doh

I personally would like to see affirmative action given their statements about how Israel should be wiped off the map.

We need to take a serious stand on the issue to either be strong enough to help Israel or cold enough to accept the demise of Israel.

Because I feel bad for Israel and their impossible situation I choose we should be strong and help them.

Ah, but it wasn't "their" statements. It was Ahmadinejad's statements. He doesn't speak for Iran...he doesn't even speak for the government of Iran. At best, he's the third most powerful person in Iran...and probably a lot lower on the totem pole than that.

Now a nuclear Iran would certainly not be pleasant to deal with, but the people who would actually have their finger on the button are skilled enough in realpolitik to not bring about their own immediate demise.

I think this analogy depends on how deep his religion is.

Life is tough isn't it. If they don't disarm, then there is no option. So...

In a word.

Yes we will have to bomb.

Repercussions. Surely.

Nukes in the hands of kooks have far more serious repercussions.

I'd rather have the fallout on their turf than ours. Both types.

If the intel is correct, Obama will have this to deal with. Of course he can pull a move like The Clintons did, and push serious threats to #45.
