Sudan fears US military intervention over Darfur

You sure about that? Last time our boys went over that way we ended up comin back pretty quick.

I'm not saying don't help them, I hate to see troubles like this in the world. I just don't know if I can believe in anything changing over there without us heavily investing resources.

There's a big difference between actively trying to capture war lords in a large city and simply defending refugee camps.

Actually, this was more due to clintons refusal to allow CAS to back em up because he did not want to look bad to the UN....

My point is. You have two places. 1. Iraq, who had a humanitarian crisis due to the criminal nature of many at the UN and Hussein. The oil for palaces program.

Now while certain countries, the Kofi's son and others were making money off this program they were at the same time blaming the sanctions on the US...

Iraq had also not ceased it bluff came....

2. the second place you also have wonton killing. The UN is supposedly in there. but thats it.

If you were the US who would you choose?

Sorry could you rephrase that?

No i meant for Mohammed Mosaddeq. And surely the AU is cooperating with the UN in UNAMID?

The AU IS cooperating, but they are a toothless organization. They refuse to call this what it is - a genocide.

Then again, this is an organization without the moral strength to condemn Mugabe for his dictatorial destruction of Zimbabwe.

Mosaddeq wasn't exactly a democratic darling working within the constitutional structure of Iran. However, I am not fully conversant with the details of his situation, something I will try to rectify in coming days. I will try to get back to this once I read up more on this.

I think that this should be a U.N. problem. But they didn't do a very good job in Rwanda did they.
Here's a novel idea have, the Muslim's go in and help them, that way no gringo's will try to give them a democracy.

You said there were to places and only mentioned one.

2nd place is Sudan.

My point is, that you have two places where horrible things are happening.

example. a fight breaks out and you see a woman being beaten with a bat....

You also notice your wife is being held down and about to be hit as well...

Who do you save 1st?
