Student auctions off virginity for offers of more than £2.5 million - Telegraph

A student who is auctioning her virginity to pay for a masters degree in Family and Marriage therapy has seen bidding hit £2.5million ($3.7m).

Natalie Dylan, 22, claims her offer of a one-night stand has persuaded 10,000 men to bid for sex with her.

Last September, when her auction came to light, she had received bids up to £162,000 ($243,000) but since then interest in her has rocketed.

How many people can lay claim to their first time being perfect and empowering? My guess is that number is an overwhelming minority. Most people would probably agree that their first time was a little pathetic or at the most sort of ridiculous. (And for those who waited til marriage and never slept with any one else, you don't count -- you don't have any basis for comparison).

Any guy who is stupid enough to pay that much money to have sex with someone shouldn't have that money in the first place. Kudos to her for utilizing the stupidity of others for her own favor.

I agree, but I suspect the lucky bidder is going to feel more than a bit jipped when he finally gets to meet her in person. Those poses and her choice of clothing are usually the same meant to hide a more, uh...generous...figure, and all that makeup makes me suspect bad skin. But I could be wrong, and if she makes three mill off the deal anyway, more power to her.

Personally, my own guess is she couldn't give too damns how people label this, whether it's feminism, capitalism, prostitution, or whatever. People will be will be ankle-biting her on the internets, and all she'll know is she's 3 million richer.

However...her first year at university might be an interesting one.
 
I remember a few years ago another gal tried to do this, and the guy who bid the highest didn't have sex with her. Just gave her the money. I don't remember the exact story.

This is disgusting to me.

Actually it looks like she had milk glasses around her eyes and tried to create a vacuum, but that it had the opposite effect and caved in the whole eye area.

Hey, I dont like women who look anorectic or even close. I prefer brunettes... I Dont like them too tall. It varies actually, sometimes tall is good, sometimes its bad. I prefer around 160cm-173cm.

Also that women, you can see the layers of makeup. Yuk.

I would have accepted 3.5 million for my virginity. I think a lot of the nay-sayers in this thread would have done so also.

I appreciate a woman who does not give in to social norms and goes with her own flow. Cudos to her!

I would have, too. That doesn't make it right.

There are a lot of things I would do-- and do happily-- for that much money. That doesn't mean that I shouldn't oppose those things, and express my disapproval for other people who would do them for money.

How do you define "right"? Do you believe the girl in question defines it the same way? Is your definition of "right" objective?
 
It's her virginity to do what she wants with but I don't think this is legal at all. It is prostitution.

This isn't anything I'd do... of course, I lost my virginity for the cost of a marriage license and a cheap hotel... but damn. Three million dollars? She'd never have to work again in her life.

I think all the naysayers are just jealous they don't have anything that someone would pay that kind of money for a single use.

I also think that if it was a guy auctioning off his virginity, folks that are calling her a slut and a whore would be cheering him on with "whatta stud!", "smart fellow!" and "you go, dude!" Then they'd call the female bidders sluts and whores.

Nothing more fun than ye olde double standard. :)
