Whilst this present impasse would appear not to involve the USA, at some time in the future some such similar deal.
Very possible that at some point the USA will need to import Russian energy supplies.
The main problem when dealing with Russia is that at the stage where any contract is to be signed, if the non Russian Company expresses satisfaction with the terms of the Contract, the Russians suspect that they are being ripped off.
