How do you know that this was not but step one in a master plan?
Where is it written like in the Koran?
How do you know that this was not but step one in a master plan?
Not amongst Americans so your point is a straw man argument, sorry. Show us please the angst American Muslims have shown about being loyal to America over Islam?
When will all of you face the fact that Muslims, no matter how nice and good and hard working and sweet they might be, harbor in their midsts the seeds of the overthrow of our government through non-violent Jihad?
You can't just go by what you personally experience.
You know--as much as anyone here--that Christians have been guilty of doing horrible things in the name of Christianity.
You know--as much as anyone here--that Muslims have been guilty of doing horrible things in the name of Islam.
So it goes....
That is just silly. The majority of Muslims could care less about over throwing our government. They just want to live be happy and travel freely like the rest of us.
So why don't we just suspend the rights of all Muslims in this country and case solved.[/sarcasm]
So do you also believe that judges that are christian shouldn't try the cases of rape victem's since their religion tells them that such victems should be stoned to death?
Besides incest, child molestation, killing of it's own, polygamy and the murder of FBI agents, I would say none that I know of.
It's pretty sad that our paranoia and fear has come to this. I think we should collectively be taking some deep breaths and calming down. There's going to be Muslims out there, even in this country, doesn't make them terrorists. Most of us will never meet a terrorist at all. The FBI had cleared up the misunderstanding and I don't think the family was allowed on another plane, even after the misunderstanding had been cleared. It's ridiculous, on some level it feels like we're living back in fear of witches or something. Half surprised we haven't burned anyone at the stake.
Jeez, I am so of multiple minds about this whole issue. I can see your point here, and it reminds me of what the true intention of terrorism is: To disrupt the good functioning of a society. In our case it is a free society with certain expectations about fairness. I then begin to wonder if the terror has succeeded in its aim if we become paranoid and ready to mistreat good people because of our fear.
Do major Christian leaders make televised expostulations stating that they have every right promote their beliefs by force, or that the sins of the Clergy are permitted by the Prophets?
True, and the government isn't really one to be quelling these fears either. In fact, they justify expansion of power off of it, justify undeclared occupational war off of it. I think the government likes it. Keep us dumb, keep us afraid; keep us under thumb. Terrorism will always be some amount of threat, it's something that we will always have to remain vigilant for. But it doesn't mean we should be going overboard like this. We need rational, logical thought, not emotionalized rhetoric or fear mongering. Terrorism poses a threat, the probability for which is ridiculously small. Take it as it is, we don't need to start treating our own citizens with suspicion based on skin color or religion.
Well certainly Obama will clear things right up.
Alot of people are saying christians arent cutting of peoples heads or what have you but the "Christian" Lords Resistance Army in Uganda has been far more brutal and still is till this day.
Francisco Franco? Its hasnt been long since Roman Catholic clergy were seen fireing at republican forces during the Spannish Civil War.Although many see Franco as ancient history you,ve got to bear in mind that his reign continued untill the late 1970s. Alot of people are saying christians arent cutting of peoples heads or what have you but the "Christian" Lords Resistance Army in Uganda has been far more brutal and still is till this day.
You may well say that the L.R.A do not represent genuine Christiality but thats exactly the argument moderate Muslims would make. Though considering the scriptures of both religeons are a mass of contradictions its perhaps futile to disscuss what a genuine form of the religeon would consitute. The only conclusion you can make from this is that both religeons have constructive and destructive interpretations. Or as Arundhati Roy put it "The mullahs of the Islamic world and the mullahs of the Hindu world and the mullahs of the Christian world are all on the same side, and we are against them all"
They just killed 600+ people over the holidays in Congo, raping hundreds of women and kidnapping hundreds of children.
Well certainly Obama will clear things right up.
But sticking our tongues out and ignoring the mullahs only allows their followers in hiding free reign to do their dirty deeds cheaply.
And ONCE AGAIN only Islam's radicals threaten the sovereignty of the US.
Ikari makes some really good points here and this is all the response that you think is deserved? Totally off topic and irrelevant? Could you possibly reveal yourself as more 2 dimensional?

The Pope has spouted some intolerant, homophobic, disgusting remarks before.
The pope has never called for suicide bombers, hijacking of planes, and mass carnage against civilians.
You fail.
1 Imam does not speak for all Muslims
The Pope speaks for all Catholics. So when the Pope spouts homophobic bull****, he indirectly speaks for all his followers.
No person has such religious authority within Islam.
And you missed the point i was trying to make or did you just ignore it?
