Government aid could save U.S. newspapers, spark debate | Special Coverage | Reuters
Newspapers are rapidly being superceded by the Internet.
Anyone can obtain everything they got from the Internet as they were able to obtain from Newspapers.
The only thing they cannot get from the Internet versus Newspapers is the paper itself.
The idea of the Government (Taxpayers) being asked to bail these out is yet
another ridiculous idea.
The Newspaper Industry is already dying out, why bother to save something that will shortly be as dead as the Dodo.
Likewise Magazines will be going over to the Internet, this is already happening.
But no doubt someone will also call for Bail out money for that industry as well.
IMO it defies logic to support industries that are incapable of selling their wares.
