This should be interesting. I suspect that Portland antifa is going to have an issue with this since, as it appears, it was US Marshall service that took him out. It probably doesn't matter if this guy had a bomb strapped to his chest and an M2 rocking and rolling in the living room when the cops showed up. It's pretty much a given that the narrative will be "unnecessary force, he was innocent, he didn't do anything, you guys are nazis, it's Trump's fault" etc.

Meh. He was a lunatic who had one useful moment after a lifetime of drug abuse and poor raising of his kids.

Totally not blaming the cops for this. Even his own family says he was bug****.

NYT...not sure they researched a bit of that, it's awfully fast to publish something like that.

That's it, in a nutshell. When we do get a handle on this crisis, he wants to be able to pull out footage and declare "I called it! I said use this! I said try this! I told them to do this, it was my idea!" He's just doing it with lots of stupid stuff because he doesnt want to miss an opportunity. He's afraid 'the big one' will be mentioned and he wont get credit for it.

It's all about declaring himself the savior of the cv crisis and we'll hear all about it, esp in his campaign. (Which is basically each of his press briefings these days) --- Lursa

Friendly reminder that Kyle Rittenhouse called 911 to report the shooting he's been charged with, and voluntarily turned himself in to police. That's what an innocent person does. Innocent people don't attempt to kill even more people just because they got into some trouble.

AP source: Suspect in Portland death killed by investigators

Reinoehl also was wanted on a warrant out of Baker County in Eastern Oregon, where court records show he skipped a hearing related to a June case in which he has been charged with driving under the influence of controlled substances, reckless driving, reckless endangerment and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Police said he drove on an interstate at up to 111 mph, with his daughter in the car, while racing his 17-year-old son, who was in a different vehicle.

Seems he followed that up with at least two weapons related incidents in July.

I have been checking Twitter and am seeing close to ZERO support for this guy. Maybe I don't know what I'm looking for on Twitter but that just seems really weird and, frankly, a little bit ominous.

Well both Rittenhouse and Reinoehl claimed self defense but only acted like they really believed it.

Innocent people don’t murder people. The fact that he said “look what I did” to the police doesn’t absolve him.

Because you don't know what words mean, and left organizations are the pro-US organizations, right-wing are the anti-US. Just because they're for PARTS of the US, like the rich and a lot of criminals like trump, doesn't make them pro-US.
 
My main comment right now is that I hope they got video of the incident, so we can determine whether the suspect was at fault or the police, and I think it's inexcusable if they did not.
