This is dumb, only fascists try to make opposing political ideologies into criminals. The Democratic Party isn't doing this, it isn't even the majority of BLM protesters doing this. The violence and rioting is done by scavengers taking advantage of a situation.

So get out of here with these fascist notions, we're not Nazi Germany nor should we ever strive to be.

Prior to 1937, when Chicago was Republican run. Chicagoan's has to live with dynamite being tossed into businesses and homes by mob members loyal to Mayor Bill Thompson. Voters had to contend with being beaten or killed at the voting booths if they didn't vote Republican straight ticket. Opposing political opponents were routinely murdered like nothing. Criminals and grifters have ****ed **** up in this city since it's foundation in 1833. Only real difference was that it was Italians, greeks and the Irish that were out murdering and robbing. Now they've all moved to the suburbs.

Please excuse my pissed-off-ness at these gang-banging rioters and looters. It remains to be seen the role that social media played in ginning up these riots. Businesses without insurance were completely looted.

We'll see if the DA and Judge go ‘light’ again on the rioters/looters that have been and will be arrested. Yes there is camera footage. This is what I woke up to today on news-radio 78 AM Chicago.

1. I notice that the Chicago newspaper is using the word "looter." According to what I have read, some American newspapers have banned the use of that word because of its "racist" connotations.

2. So if there is looting, then I guess that some editors can either ignore it (TV stations probably find the visual images too tempting to ignore!) or to use convoluted language, maybe something like:

"Some young shoppers were seen entering closed business establishments in downtown Chicago last night. They were probably too busy studying and working during the day to do their shopping earlier. The shoppers, it is reported, quickly selected their merchandise and left, apparently forgetting to leave payment on the counter. No doubt they will return today to rectify that oversight."

This started with a police situation where a 20 year old man shot at police so they shot him. Immediately misinformation started filtering through the crowd of onlookers who were getting irate. At the same time CPD, while monitoring social media noticed a post/s to head downtown in caravans and loot in retaliation. The cops have made 100 arrests so far and are actively making more based on the licence plates that they have recorded.

News-radio 78 is apolitical. Has been since coming on during the 1960's.
Sports at 16 and 46 on the hour. Business at 23 and 53. Business news hour at noon.
Traffic and weather together on the 8's. CBS national news at the top of hour.

No hate there, unless you feel reporting the news without taking sides is hate.
Everyone is super-****ing pissed.
This is where my mod/con Dem mentality kicks in.

I can't fathom how radio is managing to survive let alone AM radio. Their listeners are mostly dying off.

Here’s what I did here in Baltimore. 2 weeks ago I moved to the burbs. There are certain areas where the “Move to Opportunity “ program moved city residents from the projects here that have deteriorated since, with one difference. Even during the riots in 2015 , you could walk a block into the county, and there was no violence. The people that live in the county tend to be heavily armed and well supplied. There were certain areas in the city that rioters would avoid, but here in the county, the majority of households have at least one gun. These rioters are bullies and cowards, which is why they won’t dare bring that crap here. So my advice is this; if you live in a city where the police can’t or won’t protect you, move to an area where the citizens are known to be armed, and do not need the police to keep a bunch of thugs from burning their neighborhood down. The thugs know which areas to mess with, and which one to avoid like the plague. I was in your position. Get out while you can get something for your house.

How can we continue our "political civil war" without bashing both sides of the problem?

And Washington was right, the two-party system would fail, it has failed. We now have one party, the Republocrat Oligarchy. Of course corrupt, crony capitalism is part of it, that's the Corporate State, the Corporate State is an important party of the Oligarchy and the fascism it pushes and the new aristocracy it creates. Voting R or D doesn't fight this move, it endorses and emboldens it.

So if we are to continue our political civil war, then we must wage that war against the Oligarchy and crack this "two-party" scam open and return true political competition back into the system.
