The New "American"Adolph Hitler

Look at this adorable kid. That's little Hitler. Poor little boy.

He looks deviant to me; like that kid on the Omen.

Is the kid a boy?

I assumed it was a girl because of the hair.
Agree, he/she is so cute.

I "heard" that when some readers of this thread saw the picture your posted have raised up front their right hands in front of their computers...:doh

Fortunately there is no law against the rights of parents to name their children. We must respect the believes and ideas of people even if they are against our beliefs and ideals. The parents of this child Adolph must feel proud of what they did, they are in their own right to do so.

I see nothing wrong to name their son Hitler or Jesus or Machu Picchu, such is their right. If you feel offended by such choosing of names by others, I think that the idiot its you.

Now, that was a dirty joke of yours, let malice get out of your mind.

Who in the hell names their kid after a despicable murdering dictator??!!

There should be a law against complete stupidity.

you can't go full retard. nobody goes full retard.

Yes, you do have a reason to hate Adolph Hitler the person, but you have no rights to hate or make mockeries against any other person carrying that name.

I have every right to mock anybody carrying any name

By the way, there is nothing idiotic in the name Adolph Hitler, that name is famous only.

Given that everybody I've ever met or am likely to meet in the future sees the name as synonymous with some of the most horrific atrocities of modern times, I'd say naming your kid Adolph Hitler is pretty idiotic. As for the name itself - IMO 'Adolph' is a pretty goofy sounding name. I don't know that I'd go so far as to call it an idiotic name though.

For me a funny name is Cohen, because in other languages like Spanish that name can be transliterated as "cojen" which in some parts of South America means when men f*ck women.

We better stop doing what is wrong, accept that people have rights to choose the names they want for them or their children.

Yes, and Theodore is even more goofy sounding regardless of that a US president carried such a name. I guess that for the parents of the child of this news it should be offensive to name him Joshua...who knows...

That kid had better start growing out that Charlie Chaplin moustache if he is to live up to his namesake.

There's no source in the OP...

Way to go mom and dad. You basically have limited your kids options in life. If they can't even get a cake, admission into college or even getting a job might be a little harder don't you think? Unless your kids figure out (on their own, I'll hazard a guess) they can legally change their names, they are pretty much ****ed.

Well, when you get right down to it, everyone named "Mohammad" is named after a homicidal pedophile anti-Semitic misogynist in whose name vast hosts have been killed, suppressed or enslaved.

And who gets upset over a boy named "Alexander?"

Above all, look at the adulation heaped upon Ernesto Guevara, a murderous failure, who would blink at named a kid "Che?"

I think the course of wisdom is to accept that these kids are probably going to be warped, as so many are and ignore the family entirely.

The parents are not only nuts, they're abusive. Naming an innocent child after one of the most hated men ever is choosing a life of turmoil for him. It's utterly disgusting.
To play Devil's Advocate, Hitler was also inarguably one of the most loved men in history. Just look at the old newsreels of him speaking before hundreds of thousands.

The store does have the right, but as he already noted, these parents are morons. They gave their children ridiculous names and they will face a lifetime of scrutiny for it. One more reason why people should have to pass a test before they are allowed to have children IMO.

Yea....why would you hang a name like Barack Huissein Obama on a kid...poor kid.

This kids parents should have the kid taken from them and have them forced sterilized. Then maybe they would understand what their "values" and "ideas" actually mean.
You do know, that "freedom," means being allowed to be really, really stupid, right? People are either free, or they are not. If they're free, then we must accept that they will be idiots frequently.

Not to mention that Saddam and Hussien are much more common names in the Arab/Muslim than Adolph Hitler is any where.

Before WWII Adolf was a very common name. Adolfo is still very common in latin countries.

The parents should look at this and then think, but I suspect they are incapable of this.
Sadly, nothing legal can be done, the parents have the right to be fools. At an age of 18, maybe sooner, the child will pay the bucks and go through a legal name change.. By then, the damage is done; he may hate his parents for life..

That is true if he is not "instructed" with the same ideology of his parents, and maybe, who knows, he can become like them and feel "proud" of his name. This is a case of wait and see. Just check how proud are several people who declare themselves as nazis here in US.

These parents are horrible. They have stigmatized their children to advertise their pro-nazi beliefs, then used the kids again to get national media attention. By the time these kids have been ostracized, ridiculed and tormented into adulthood, when they could legally change their names, they will probably all be angry, rage-filled swastika-swinging skinheads like their parents.

I feel so sorry for the poor little tykes.

Because when he was named Saddam Hussein was likely little known to completely obscure, which of course you don't even think about because you don't' actually give two ****s beyond trying to be a very very crappy partisan hitman

Try reading the first line of the post before the actual story.

I did miss the first line. I am not sure why, actually. Thanks, I didn't think you had stated your reason for posting the story.

I wondered if you were against the store for refusing service, or against the parents, or worse, for the parents, etc.

Sorry about the confusion.

A few thoughts. Because of the infamy of the name, this kid will probably be ridiculed. This is not about whether or not the parents have the right to name their kid Adolph Hitler or not. They can name their kid anything they want. However, naming your kid something bizarre or something that is reminiscent of something heinous will set the kid up to be made fun of. Doesn't matter whether it is right or wrong. It's just the facts of what will occur.

One other thing. I live pretty close to where this family comes from and I know the area very well. This area is well known for it's anti-semitism and the number of neo-Nazi groups that operate out of there. There is no doubt as to why this father named his kids what he did, regardless of what he claims.

Actually 'Che' is pretty common in Argentina. But not because it's a name. It's what they call each other. Cubans just didn't figure that out.

Che Guerrara is also a hero to almost all of latin America. They love him because he stood up to the gringos.
