Quite an interesting thing this that France and the UK let this happen, they almost have a monopoly in this market on defense equipment in Europe, with Germany strong on textiles and smaller soldier style equipment. This will definetely strengthen Europe defense capabilities and production, which have been somewhat weak despite its strength in the UK and France.. Its one step further in the long ongoing process of singlyfying European defense and an important milestone in this integration work. Perhaps we will have more and better companies like EADS, and less Thales and such, with their ability to further cooperate cross border.

With a screen name like Red Dave one supposes that you at least at one time if not now, supported Communism.
Well Red China openly supported and armed North Korea, sold armaments to Sudan, Zimbabwe, North Vietnam, Burma, as well as many other Countries.
Russia sold armaments to every nation that was not friendly to the US, it still does.
The US are very likely the largest exporters of armaments to a whole host of Countries.
EU and specifically Germany, UK, France, Check republic, Italy, Holland, Belgium also have considerable arms sales to other Countries.
Does this make them all mass murderers?
I would have thought that the only people who murder are the ones who use these armaments against other people, in other words those that pull the trigger.

Its just anti-European rant.. The UK people cant help it, they have been brainwashed into their beliefs by the media, because everyone knows that the EU is taking over and the UK and the US is loosing all their influence, which is why anti-Europeanism is spreading in the US also.
They see them self as the past and cant help it.

Well if my description had said "Maoist" then your first point may have had some legitimacy. Though of course its interesting you mention Zimbawe as the UK manufactured some of the fighter planes Mugabe used in the Congo [though he promised us we would only use them for training, so we werent to know:doh]. I think if you export arms to Indonesia [as the UK] did whilst its commiting genocide against the East Timorise then you have a degree of responsibility for what happens. Not to mention our old freinds Saddam Hussein and General Pinochet.Given previous experience its not really something the european tax payer should be funding IMO.

I would find it very difficult to bear any sort of animosity against a continent.

Yeah, the EU is taking over and its elite doesn't care if the people want it to or not?

I see that the Euro elites have abandoned holding elections on an actual Constitution. Of course they should have taken the hint when various electorates told them "no." Instead, they repackaged it as the Lisbon Treaty and are attempting to backdoor this thing via treaty status.

Typical Euro elites.

Lmao.
US wil retain its dominance for another decade minimum and if it ever does lose it, Asia will pick up. EU will never have the makings of the world's superpower.

Europe is doing quite well as we speak, even when US is in collapse. Surprisingly stubborn numbers in Europe and a fantastic Euro currency.
