Here we go. Sadly predictable.

Rep. James Clyburn: Donald Trump plans to install himself in office in emergency way

Lawmaker: Trump doesn't plan to leave the White House - CNN Video

The Donald's focus is on nothing else now but re-election. And whatever that will take.

So much for thousands of lives in the balance fighting CV19. It seems he's even given up on the economy.

This is the barely coherent and grammatically inept speech of a man who desperately wants to be able to claim that he "cured coronavirus."

That's it, in a nutshell. When we do get a handle on this crisis, he wants to be able to pull out footage and declare "I called it! I said use this! I said try this! I told them to do this, it was my idea!" He's just doing it with lots of stupid stuff because he doesnt want to miss an opportunity. He's afraid 'the big one' will be mentioned and he wont get credit for it.

It's all about declaring himself the savior of the cv crisis and we'll hear all about it, esp in his campaign. (Which is basically each of his press briefings these days) --- Lursa

Almost would like to see them have to drag his fat azz out of there along with his "advisors", Jerrod and Ivanka.

Of course it is predictable that a Democrat will say something crazy about the president they hate. Trump is Mussolini and Putin is Hitler. Yeah, seems credible.

He was making a comparison about influence. Influence on the populace...not actions. Altho yes, I'd say there's also a common thread regarding the disregard and destruction of democracy.

You could say the same regarding any president or any celebrity. Famous people have a lot of influence, regardless of political ideology. That speaks more to simple minded people than to the celebrity. That does not make the comparison legitimate.

Clyburn is one of the whack job Democrats who is willing to float fake stories about President Trump. There is no evidence that Trump intends any other course of action than leaving peaceably.. There may be appeals if there is a claim that the election was not conducted per the law, but they will be resolved between Nov and January.

being frog marched out of a building after losing an election doesn't require consent.

It's not about a cult of personality...it's about the influence...the amount and scope and numbers. Sorry, that is not the same as most celebrities. Celebrities arent enabling the deaths of thousands for their own egos. And while Dennis Rodman may suck up to NK, he has zero influence over US policy. I'll skip some of the other examples that include tear gas, bombs, and global threats.

The Donald already proposed 'another course of action." Moving the election date.

So that's a false claim right there. And he's just getting started, after softening the field with the fraud accusations.

You need to make up your mind. Is it about influence over the populous or actions? You seem to want to have it whichever way is the most negative to Trump.

I would help, free of charge. Lowest bidder, right. Please say Yes:mrgreen:

He also floated the idea of nuking a hurricane. How many times has that happened since? Better yet, how many times are you people going to fall for another conspiracy theory about Trump before you wise up enough to even pause before running full boar with it?

In the context of his statements in the OP video? Influence.

But his intent is to act in the opposite of leading a democracy.

What conspiracy theories? The fact that he was unable to carry out nuking a hurricane does not demonstrate his fitness for office. The fact that he proposed it is evidence he is not.

And who's running 'full bore?' It's The Donald upping the voting ante weekly, almost daily. Should that be ignored?

Are you saying that the President of the United States shouldn't be taken seriously?

I honestly don't think Trump cares about not being president as much as he cares about not losing and facing the reality of how unpopular and how much of a failure he is. To lose to someone like Joe Biden is going to be embarrassing.

Are you a professional mind reader too? Good to know.

Is that what I said? I am sorry you do not have the wisdom to know what is hyperbole and what is not. A shame, really.

I agree. He craves the constant attention tho.

I am sorry. I tried, but I cannot have an intelligent conversation with irrational people. You are every bit as irrational as the Trump throne sniffers.

No more argument? Noted.

And this is the guy you want?

I could not care less if any president nuked every hurricane. One less nuke that could potentially be used on people. Plus, how do you know it will not work until it is tried.
