Lawmaker: Trump doesn't plan to leave the White House

I honestly don't think Trump cares about not being president as much as he cares about not losing and facing the reality of how unpopular and how much of a failure he is. To lose to someone like Joe Biden is going to be embarrassing.

Yep, his 'nobody likes me' reminded me of a 4 year old crying because no one wanted to play with them.

Here we go. Sadly predictable.

Rep. James Clyburn: Donald Trump plans to install himself in office in emergency way

Lawmaker: Trump doesn't plan to leave the White House - CNN Video

The Donald's focus is on nothing else now but re-election. And whatever that will take.

So much for thousands of lives in the balance fighting CV19. It seems he's even given up on the economy.

I love how the left can come up with the bad things they expect Trump to do to win an election. Yet, they don't acknowledge the obvious shady dealings of the left, Collusion, Mueller, FISA, Steele Dossier, Investigation of Trump campaign and people attached with no evidence of wrong doing. Clear to see the left is biased and has no intention of being anything but.

absolutely....it would be the time that millions of us show up to evict him.

Don't think we will get there before the crowds in the northeast take out the garbage first.

I read a long article a few years back in a business magazine that talked about how hard it is to fire a narcissist (well, anyone with a personality disorder). The article was written by human resources experts with mental health background and the bottom line was:
Do Not Hire Them, but if you do, God Help You. It will be a long, arduous task to say goodbye.

So we could have some argument from Trump. Probably voter fraud accusations, but who knows what will gurgle up in that fevered brain. I'm hoping Fox doesn't encourage him with a bunch of dopey conspiracy theories that will just embarrass everyone.

I sat through all of this and he had no actual proof to show why his fears had merit.. that was kind of a letdown.

Also, no. Just no.

There was plenty of evidence of interference in our elections and the Mueller investigations were just that investigations, oh there was wrong doing all right they just didn't catch the big fish. Now back to the Topic.

?? The results were challenged in 2000.

Are you saying that he cannot make a claim of fraud in Nov? Depending on the results of course.

Challenging an election via the legal means isn't an issue, and that isn't what is being talked about. And it would have to be very close for it to be challenged.

I paid no attention to detail in 2000 when that was going on. In order to launch an investigation or demand a recount somewhere, doesn't there have to be some evidence of a problem? He can't just demand an investigation because he feels like it, can he?

So you've revealed that the Majority Whip of the House is a total crackpot. What message did you actually intend to convey?

Would you like to continue this discussion in the "Conspiracy Theories" subforum?

I believe there can be a demand for a recount, depending on how close a vote is. Then I believe they can also validate the votes. I remember in 2000 them doing a recount and there being votes thrown out. Remember the "hanging chads"?

It would depend on the margin and the law, would it not?
idk

I doubt it.

I expect Trump will challenge any elections results where he loses.

Trump shat all over the 2016 results and he won then.

Well if James Clyburn says so... :giggle:

So...no argument.

This is the barely coherent and grammatically inept speech of a man who desperately wants to be able to claim that he "cured coronavirus."

That's it, in a nutshell. When we do get a handle on this crisis, he wants to be able to pull out footage and declare "I called it! I said use this! I said try this! I told them to do this, it was my idea!" He's just doing it with lots of stupid stuff because he doesnt want to miss an opportunity. He's afraid 'the big one' will be mentioned and he wont get credit for it.

It's all about declaring himself the savior of the cv crisis and we'll hear all about it, esp in his campaign. (Which is basically each of his press briefings these days) --- Lursa

Where were those convictions?

The actual substantiation of his comments are the now seemingly daily escalations The Donald is making to challenge the voting system and considering other options, like changing the date.

Putin has done this twice, successfully (retained office...and he managed to get around term limits.) This is The Donald's role model IMO. Perhaps even coach!

So...no argument.

Y'all are really scared that Biden will lose. Huh?

Not at all.

Your comments are as astute as ever....which is never :lamo

I saw. Trump asked a simple question and most of the other usual talking heads crawled from under their rocks to call him a fascist, or some other demeaning word.

All because of a question. Spare me.

Putin has done this twice, successfully (retained office...and he managed to get around term limits.) This is The Donald's role model IMO. Perhaps even coach!
Please leave this pathetic hyperbole down in the basement where it belongs. This is not Russia and we have other systems in place and other than actively using directive 51. We'd still have to see if this would all come through congress.

So...no argument.
Arguing against baseless hyperbole. Is a useless exorcise in futility.

Well, you made comments but no arguments.

There's little way to dispute that The Donald is looking for anyways he can to control and steer the vote in Nov. And he's now expanded from casting aspersions and predicting the future to attempting to actually engineer changes. It's becoming almost a daily occurrence.

Soooooo, the video and the concern are not 'fantasies' or hyperbole.

No, they are still mostly fantasies at this point. Because just claiming that Trump is doing something and then opposing it to what he's actually doing. Is enough to show us that they are just that.

Just fantasies.

He's got just as much right to talk as anyone and if he's guilty of trying to adjust the outcome of the election, then the democrats are as well.

At least Trump just asked a question and his comments about the issues with such a high amount of mail-in voting aren't exactly unfounded.

You are denying his own words and actions? His constant complaining about voter fraud? Instigating fear in mail in voting? Cutting USPS funds so there may be difficulties in Nov delivering on time? His proposing the idea of moving the date?

All those things are fantasies? :doh

He has a right to voice concerns...but he should be much more responsible about knowing the facts before just throwing bait out to his followers whom he knows believe everything he says without question. It's something he knowingly can take advantage of.

Wow, how stupid is this story? Yes, Trump will barricade the doors to the WH, so he can remain POTUS, LOL!

This Clyburn moron needs to explain exactly under what Constitutional procedure, also known as an "emergency way" (LOL!!!) that a President can decide to remaining in office, even though another has been elected.

The sad and stupid part of all this is that this guy can only make such an incredibly ridiculous statement because he knows he will get no push back at all from the sheople in his party. Say anything, they don't care!

When you put out the fire in your hair, maybe you'll be capable of considering that there are things he may be able to do...or at least delay...to resist being removed from office.

He's already started his attempts....like floating the idea of moving the dates of the election. Sewing unfounded distrust in mail in voting (which works for him personally when he votes ), even cutting USPS budget to possibly jeopardize delivery of the ballots (altho if mailed on time, that shouldnt matter).

Do you really deny that he's trying to find a way to dispute the results of the election if he isnt the clear winner? He's said as much already.

Of course it is predictable that a Democrat will say something crazy about the president they hate. Trump is Mussolini and Putin is Hitler. Yeah, seems credible.
wait a minute... isn't Trump supposed to be Hitler? *so confusing*
