Priest: Playboy cover resembling Mary 'desperate,' 'blasphemous'

Did you wish to comment on my valid point or just sit here and personally attack me?

Electrons are nothing to be ashamed of...they serve an important purpose.

No one defends the pedophiles. It's you who is blinded by hatred. Not the justifiable hatred of child abusers, the irrational hatred of an institution based on a few bad people.

Funny cause I saw one or two posts in this thread that seemed to be in defense of the pedo priests and the church that has covered over theseawful deeds. Why has the church paid out millions if there is no guilt:confused:

Also the Cath Church is famous for keeping all kinds of deep dark secrets:shock:

Then why would churches shuffle around pedophile priests instead of turning them in?

That sounds like defending to me. It wasn't until it was found out that the churches cooperated with authorities.

Very true. They hide the priest and protect em:3oops:

Such as...?

Such as the pedo priests and also they have hidden religious text they keep from general public some of it being deeply occult related.

If by "occult" you mean of, relating to, or dealing with supernatural influences, agencies, or phenomena, everything about Catholicism, not to mention Christianity in general, as well as pretty much every other major world religion is "deeply occult related".
There would be no reason for them to hide such a thing.

To avoid scandal and looking bad of course.m That doesn't mean they are defending the act.

That is defending them. Not defending them would be to turn them over to the authorities.

It isn't defendingt them actually, it is defending yourself. Their actions are not being defended, the purpose is to defend the church. To defend them would be to speak in open support of their actions.

Are you referring to that stupid Nat Geo show on "The Devil's Bible?"

:rofl:rofl:rofl OBVIOUSLY you didn't watch it to the end:rofl

That's what pisses me off about those "History Channel" and "Nat Geo" shows--they sensationalize with all kinds of speculative speak, and people of weak minds hear the speculation and take it as fact, and don't bother to listen to the end of the programs where they either admit it's all speculation or totally debunk the entire premise of the show as a resolution. The latter is what form the so-called "Devil's Bible" show did.

Ignorance masquerading as some kind of "knowledge" is just ignorance proved.

The Church is a refuge for sinners who seek repentance. The Church is in a position to where it has conflicting duties. It must be open for those who want to repent and be forgiven, but it also owes a duty to protect people from harm. It is a rock and a hard place and it performed badly in some instances.

It's not the show's fault people don't watch the whole episode.

It's NOT history, nor is it anything but slander. A one hour show--and in the last 3 minutes they say everything they said in the 57 prior minutes was not true? That's just wrong and irresponsible....perhaps, e.v.i.l..

IIRC, they were documenting what "some people say". So yes, I can see why you think that is slanderous. But people could say the same about many things in the Bible as far as not being history. People still have discrepancies about the meanings of many historical things. Whether it be pyramids in Egypt, the Mayan Temples, or Stonehenge, there is much guesswork.

I can understand your concerns about things that people take for truth when it is meant as fiction. Look at all the attention Dan Brown got for The Da Vinci code. It was fiction yet the History Channel and NatGeo did specials on it. While the content may be false, the fact that people believed it is what is historical. Look at the Heaven's Gate and Jonestown massacres. Talking about what those people believed doen't make it true.

No--you misunderstand...the show itself debunked its entire premise in the last three minutes because there was clear evidence within the Bible in question itself who wrote it and why he wrote it and why he included a quite fancy picture of a devil in it. The whole business was slanderous hype--ADMITTED to in the last three minutes. It's ridiculous.

The Catholic Church is a favorite target, but it's wrong to sensationalize an institution or a human tragedy. It's crass greed, and bigotry or voyeurism.

There is the secrecy that allows speculations like this to creep in. It happens with governments too. It's easy to sensationalize. I won't say that they aren't ultimately going for a market share of ratings to generate revenue. But they did cop to those things being false at the end. Should they have said it every two minutes throughout the show?

Haha. That reminds me of when my family got cable about five years ago.
We were flipping around and started watching a show on one of the science channels. It was some kind of nature documentary, seemed totally real and legit, about dragons that were found frozen in ice in a cave somewhere.
We were unfamiliar, at the time, with this format of making fictional documentaries.
It got us all in a tizzy, until the end, when we found out it was all pretend.
With the computer animation they have now, they can make anything look real.

Saw that one too! And another about speculative animals that could evolve on other planets--and another about dinosaur fights. It's just dumb IMO--I like the computer graphics though--and the imagining. It's just that they are presented like fact and LORDY are there some dumb people in the world! I don't doubt that some people really believe they found evidence of dragons in ice--and would swear to it as true! Same thing happens in those damned supposed "historical" documentaries. For instance--recently there was one where they had flagellant monks from the Catholic Church basically being roving thugs attacking Jews across Europe. Puh-leez. Problem is separating fact from fiction. So many people think the "History" Channel and others are "real" history. It's like those dumbasses who think John Stewart is a real news program.:rantoff:

Some of the hidden texts are related to how the world ends, evil and things like that. There are all kind of hidden documents & texts on demonology:lol:

Felicity, Nope. Not speaking about something I watched on T.V. even though I am a fan of the History Channel and Nat. Geo.

Your making assumptions is ignorance proved;)

You do not think dragons are real? There is a religion about that too:2razz: Some claim to have real dragons, see them, intereact and do ritual works with them, etc. Most of these people have one main Dragon Spirit Guide or something like that

I have plenty of information and it disgust me just how much the church covered up and protected these sick preists. I can assure you this: the general population does not try to cover up for sick pedophiles and most in the general public would love nothing more than to kill sick freaks that molest little kids.

And those involved will get the ultimate punishment. Something about "to whom much is given, much is expected" will likely be used in the next life.

That is defending them. Not defending them would be to turn them over to the authorities.

If I go to Confession and confess a murder, the priest is NOT allowed to turn me in. Does that mean the Church and that priest is defending that murder?

Keep religious texts from the general public?!?!? WTF are you talking about?

I am talking about the hidden secrets of the Cathol;ic Church and a lot of it is deep into the occult
