Priest: Playboy cover resembling Mary 'desperate,' 'blasphemous'

I didn't say I didn't identify as Christian, either. How about you take note of what has actually been said. That would go a long way toward helping you with looking like an idiot.

I am not a devout Christian. Does that spell it out well enough for you or do I need to draw you a picture next time?

So you are a wannabe Christian then? If not, Let us know what your religious status then and enlighten us if you have the guts lol. Care to grow a set and let us know what you believe or cower behind others lol.

Yes, you're right... I've never debated anything. Silly me. Have fun with your name calling and preschool shenanigans. Let me know how that works out for you.

"Blah blah blah, I'm egofftib and I just can't help but try to bait and inflame and then not take responsibility for the reactions people have to my retardedness."

Whatever, dickhole. Can we please go back to the topic now without your pathetic attempts to turn every conversation about me? I'm not interested in you at all and you're starting to creep me out.

I don't have the time to look it up now because I am going to the hospital in a few minutes for some tests - including a cranial x-ray because I have symptoms of elevated cranial pressure. I know what you are talking about, however, I have read in numerous sources that the word 'brother' used in the original Amamaic (I think) did not mean 'brother' in the sense that it is a biological kin. Remember, Jesus never could have a full-brother unless the Holy Spirit came to Mary for an encore.

Or unless she copulated with her husband... :2wave:

Your absurdly emotional response to my posts in this thread would indicate otherwise.

But yes, I would love to discuss the topic at hand. My viewpoint is that people are too easily offended.

Again, here you go with the lack of understanding. I was raised Christian. I still identify as Christian. I am Catholic to be specific.

I actually encourage questioning the Church. I do not encourage questioning God.

Shall we move on to pictures for your benefit, now, or did you get it this time?

And who have I cowered behind? Actually, I came out defending the others here so again, you epically fail.

Now a cross in a bottle of feces...that I would not tolerate.

Are you talking about this, by Andres Serrano?:

Where do you get I am Muslim, where have I said that? You need to use hooked on phonics if you think that lol.

You need hooked on logic.

You compared Christians complaining about a Muslim reaction to a cartoon to YOU complaing about Christians reaction to a photograph.

Logical extension - you are Muslim.

LOL if you think I am a Muslim you really need some help on reading comprehension. lol. I am an agnostic, not Muslim.

Hence why I said I told Muslims they should get over it in regards to the cartoon. I guess you missed that part as usual but here in case you need the link

It hasn't just been this thread that finally has me done with your moronic attempts to turn everything you discuss with me about me and not the topic.

Maybe I just plain don't like you. That's okay too.

And yes, people are too easily offended. In this thread, ludahai didn't express that kind of offense. My response to TNE was due to his attempt to make this into a confrontational discussion by being an outright dick from the onset. And I was the idiot asshole who went ahead and let the fuktard do it.

My view is that I can see how some very devout Christians get offended. There has been art that has offended me to the core, but often times, that is usually the intent of the artist. In this case, I find the picture to be a powerful expression of womanhood that marries spirituality with sexuality in a very beautiful and poignant way.

What was the point of even displaying that, knowing that someone would get offended unless it was to join in the dickhole crusade going on here? ****ing atheists are the most childish bitches, on the whole, you'll ever encounter.

I think you might need to take a break from this thread and cool off. The point of his post was to ask if you were referring to that picture. A "yes" or "No" would have sufficed.

I think you need to keep to the topic and not worry about my responses to others seeking to offend.

The point of his post was to be a wanker, there was no need to post the image.

Making brash generalizations about atheists being "childish bitches" is hardly on topic.

I wasn't trying to offend you, I was wondering if that was the one you were talking about, and thought it would be easier to post it instead of trying to explain it.

Anyways, the fact that you're offended by that is the entire point of the work. Serrano always juxtaposes the beautiful with the repulsive/taboo. His point is that there is beauty even in the most ugly things, and that if you look beyond your boundaries you can see that. You're so bound up in your own limitations that you are unable to appreciate that photo for what it is.

The best part about Serrano's art is that it challenges you to redefine how you think, and that usually involves people either opening up their minds and accepting the piece for what it is, showing their openness to grow, or people get all upset and offended, exposing their narrowmindedness.

I actually think that picture is beautiful.
