New Yahoo News/YouGov poll: Most Trump voters say they will not accept the 2020 results if Biden wins because of mail-in ballots

Most Americans now believe that President Trump will not accept the results of November's election if he loses to Joe Biden, according to a new Yahoo News/YouGov poll, and an even larger majority of Trump voters say they too will refuse to accept a narrow loss if mail-in ballots contribute to Biden's victory.

The poll asks other relevant questions, delving into the protests/riots and covid-19. Interesting poll, and we can discuss any of the results. Myself, I'm interested in Trump and Biden supporters' opinions here. Will you accept the election results if your candidate loses in a close election?

Don’t act like it’s normal to accept the results of an election in which one party has changed the methodology.

If recent history is any judge, most Dem voters won't accept the outcome if the Dem candidate doesn't win.

Mail in ballots get sent to you in the mail, and you send them back in. Absentee ballots get sent to you in the mail, and you send them back in. It's amazing that you have to point this out to them, but you do.

I wonder if they object to their crush Trump, his low class family, his bimbo of a Press Secretary, Pastor Pence, and all of the military voting by mail. Well probably yes to the last one since they hate the military now.

And the election is going to be a white-hot, slow-motion, mailed-in train wreck. I predict a dozen or more Floridas with both sides "suddenly" finding batches of mailed-in ballots weeks after election day. We may not know the outcome before December.

It’s amazing that you have to point out to stupid Biden voters that absentee mail-in voting is not the same as nationwide mail-in voting for everybody.

What you’re proposing is not normal. The burden is on you. If there are reports of wide scale fraud, and Biden is elected, trust me, it will be impossible for him to govern.

Eh, who cares. He'll still be president. Most of them probably didn't accept Obama either (for other obvious reasons).

They have the freedom of choice: They can accept the results, or we can cram the results down their throats.
 
My question for those supporting Trump.

- If they won't accept the election results in 2020, then why did they accept the election results in 2016?

- What has changed regarding mail in ballots since 2016 and 2020 to make one suspect of the ballot other than Trump questioning them.

Methodology differs state by state. It has always been that way, so it appears you are trying to subvert states' authority.

Mail voting has been around since 1864.

Besides the scale of numbers, what is the relevant difference? How is one more prone to election fraud than the other? Honest questions...

Well they've certainly been spinning that narrative lately. Trying to claim that mail-in is fraught with fraud and the USPS won't be able to keep up, etc. Looks like they're trying to invalidate the election before it even happens.

Yes, even if we have to return to the Supreme Court, ala, Bush/Gore again only should that happen again, I hope the court let's the states figure it out instead of rendering another partisan "one-time interference ruling". :roll:
