Trump Floats Idea of Delaying U.S. Presidential Election

Re: Trump raises idea of election ‘delay’ as he makes unsupported claims of mail-in voting fraud

I live i California. Home to about 10 million illegal aliens.
How many John Smiths do you think there are in the entirety of the US and its voting territories?

I want you to explain why its Juan Gonzales you have a problem with, but not John Smith, or Michael Brown, or Tim Johnson.

Come on, you can do it.

Re: Trump raises idea of election ‘delay’ as he makes unsupported claims of mail-in voting fraud

Yep. It works well in Oregon. What I cannot figure out is why Trump and his supporters fear voting by mail. Seems to me that voting in person is going to deter older folks who are more likely to be Repubs and who do not wish to stand in a long line with a bunch of young carefree mask-less (?) voters.

Older folks have been around and are not like snowflakes.

Re: Trump raises idea of election ‘delay’ as he makes unsupported claims of mail-in voting fraud

Pulitze prizes are worth about as much as......yummmm, wellllll

Nobel peace prizes.

Both are like 8 year old boys soccer trophies.

Junior soccer league trophies don't come with US$935,366.

Re: Trump raises idea of election ‘delay’ as he makes unsupported claims of mail-in voting fraud

Neil DeGrasse Tyson? The popularizer? The giggler who can't even keep a straight face? A popularizer like him isn't the best example to hold out for rigorous science, that's for sure.

Dude - read the quote - it's the words that matter - facts are facts...no matter what.

Don't matter. Pulitzer and Nobel peace prizes are given on;y to leftists who display communistic ideals. Obama being the biggest joke Nobel peace prize winners in all of history.

He probably cried into a big bag of $935,366.

Re: Trump raises idea of election ‘delay’ as he makes unsupported claims of mail-in voting fraud

And it's not just the threat of fraud, great though it is, but the obvious room for incompetence. Much of the work will be done volunteers, part time workers, and the Post Office. That's all we need to know.

This is so absurd. The ONLY REASON REPUBLICANS are convinced there's a CONSPIRACY is because Trump told them so they believe it. The LEMMINGS part of this is frighteningly too real.

Notice there are virtually zero Democrats who believe voter fraud thru mail-in ballots can tip the election but there are Republicans who don't believe it.

The most ironic part is that the Republicans have a myriad of ways they try to suppress the vote but in their conspiracy theory world they're biggest fear is that TOO MANY PEOPLE will vote -it's driving them mad

Re: Trump raises idea of election ‘delay’ as he makes unsupported claims of mail-in voting fraud

Pelosi and biden and the rest of the crew were doing the same damn thing urging people to go on cruises and fly all over the place.
you hypocrisy is expected noted and dismissed.

yes i ask myself what is wrong with leftist every day i still haven't come up with an answer.

You now in the real world there's something known as context? WHat you claim Dems did was in February before we had stay at home and so little was known. Trump's "LIBERATE" states was in late April / May. Context. Know what context is? You're comparing the unknown to Trump purposely misleading people so he can earn votes because he perceives open states mean a better economy but he still fails to understand that without Covid containment there is no economy.

Doesn't matter if it was a billion dollars. Those prizes are participation trophies given by far leftists to far leftists. Think Academy Awards.

Re: Trump raises idea of election ‘delay’ as he makes unsupported claims of mail-in voting fraud

Unfortunately there is no cure for Trump's stupidity.

Trump supporters could save themselves a lot of time and effort if they just acknowledged Trump says stupid **** but they still believe he's ultimately the better choice for America. But for some reason there's this devotion that demands explaining away the stupid things he says.

There's no cure for yours as well, you know that right?

You're also running your mouth about people that you don't even know and to such an extent that it only reveals how petty and small of a person you actually are. Not the other way around.

So spare me your jaw jacking.

Re: Trump raises idea of election ‘delay’ as he makes unsupported claims of mail-in voting fraud

If you want to make a personal insult, do it out in the open, don't try to hide it.

No, you called him a lying sack of crap, while also lying yourself. It pretty much defeats the purpose of making a post in your case.

Maybe he shaped it into an 8 year olds giant trophy, and cried into it.

I would.

Dude...you really stepped into this time! Nadler was talking about paper ballots NOT MAIL-IN BALLOTS! Don't forget to take of your shoes and wash them before you go into your home.

Maybe you'd like to tell me what you think "mail in" ballots are made out of, because it sure isn't chicken fat.

But can you use COVID as an excuse in those states that require one?

As of 27 JUL 20, CT, NY, IN, KY, LA, MS, SC, and TX did NOT allow "fear of COVID-19" as an acceptable reason for allowing absentee voting. You might not have noticed it, but the number of "Red" states and "Blue" states are slightly different.

I called Trump a lying sack of crap, not you, or anyone else on this thread.

Public officials are game, I can call Trump anything I want, so can you.

Nice try.

Then you're simply admitting that you were in fact lying about the man.

So you're free to run off like all the other if you'd like, or is just being petulant as far as your abilities can take you?

I'm not lying. That is my opinion of Trump. I can voice my opinion on him at any time, I see that you get really threatened by it.

You failed massively on this point. I did not make any personal attack against you. So get over it.

Get over what, I was merely pointing out what you were doing and how faulty your own basis for it was.

Maybe if you could conduct yourself with an tab bit more integrity. This kind of thing wouldn't happen to you so often.

Or you could at least try not to be so petty. That works to.

Then again, You're here still crying about being called out. So I see that my hopes for you are practically all in vain.

Re: Trump raises idea of election ‘delay’ as he makes unsupported claims of mail-in voting fraud

Remember when Trump and his supporters wanted that Nobel soooo bad? And then he didn't get it? And so now it's worthless?

Yeah. They are too.

The Trumpies should be careful what they wish for: if he succeeds in derailing the election, contesting the results, muddying the waters so there is no clear winner then on Jan 20 he still has to leave (and take the Jesus-freak Pence with him) and the Speaker of the House takes over.

President Pelosi boys, you ready for that?

Pelosi wouldn't be president because her term would also expire at the same time.

Next up is Senate Pro Tempore, which would actually end up selected by Democrats because too many Republicans are up for reelection this term. Could theoretically end up with President Bernie Sanders! (but they'd presumably just select Joe Biden because the Senate, oddly enough, is not required to select a Senator as Pro Tempore)

Although, the Presidential Succession Act creates a really uncomfortable situation here: the successor remains president until a president is elected. If we're not doing elections anymore...

Trumpsters might want to think about that a bit...

That explains why Republicans are against the idea. :)
