A teenage Afghan girl has been hailed on social media for her "heroism" after fighting back last week against Taliban militants who killed her parents.
The girl took the family's AK-47 assault rifle, shot dead two of the militants and wounded several others, local officials in Ghor province said.
The Taliban came to the house because the girl's father was a government supporter, they added.
A photo of the girl holding the gun has gone viral in recent days.
Later more militants came to attack the house, in the village of Griwa, but were beaten back by villagers and pro-government militia.

It sucks she lost her parents. I hope relatives or friends can give her a proper and caring family environment. Hopefully governmental operatives can take out the rest of the killers.

Sadly, she may have become a prime target for the talib primitives; on the other hand, the two she ended will have a hard time explaining this to thier buddies in whatever afterlife they believe in.

And the conservatives are just happy that women are still subject to religious persecution in this world. It comforts them to know that, at least in Afghanistan, their policies are still relevant.

To protect you from the Taliban? How does what happened in Afghanistan affect anything in your life? I've always thought conservative guns nuts were cowards in real life but you can stop hiding under your bed the Taliban is not going to get you.

If they had religious freedom, they wouldn't need the guns as much. That's why the 1st amendment is first. There is no analog between our country and their pathetically ignorant land and its vile "leadership".

I will agree, though, that the most beneficial use of an AK is to liberate religious whackadoodles from their earthly bonds.
 
You can probably defeat the Taliban by converting the population to Christianity. :cool:
