Joe the Plumber: "McCain appalled me"

Why do the Obamanistas care if JtP is in the news?
I don't know to be honest, but hey, the guy is a hard-working example of americana, so if he gets a book deal or pegged more for his opinion, so be it.

He was playing football in his neighborhood and was approached by the now president elect, how was he looking for media attention?

Are you sure about this?

Yep. Good for him.

Do you have any links to people who are making these claims? I haven't seen them. There are a lot of "Liberal" minded people on this forum that I have great respect for; they are at least HONEST in their partisanship and don't blather this forum with lies and ignorance.

Please show me who these Conservatives are that claim: "liberals are genetically predisposed to being thuggish assholes without an ounce of dignity or class between the lot of them."

Heh heh

...

The more I watch the behavior of the left in the aftermath of getting their guy elected, the more I am convinced that liberals are genetically predisposed to being thuggish assholes without an ounce of dignity or class between the lot of them. Instead of Obama's election being a celebration of change and new direction in America, it has been more of the same with the left acting as if they now have some kind of carte blanch to act like the petty lowlifes that we have always known them to be.

And this from the same fellow who was commenting that hyper-partisans are blind to their own stupidity! Apparently an insightful comment, eh?

You can now post your apologies for insuinating that me stating this was blathering the forum with lies and ignorance.

Would you just give it a rest? Jesus Christ, I don't see how anyone stays that butt-hurt for that long over an internet forum. Not very "irie" if you ask me.

I see, others pointing out your hyper-partisan comments needs a rest; but not your calling others hyper-partisan being blinded by stupidity. That's ok.

Well, it does make you look hypocritical and inane, I could see why you'd want to give that a rest.

"Butt-hurt" -- what a very clever phrase!

Aquapub comes to mind

Did he make this statement; "liberals are genetically predisposed to being thuggish assholes without an ounce of dignity or class between the lot of them."

Or is this once more an issue of perceptions over REALITY?

Once more playing the drama queen I see; how does one get to; "for insuinating that me stating this was blathering the forum with lies and ignorance" from this?

I think Joe the so-called plumber is just saying stupid **** because of his little book that's coming out.

Wurzelbacher, who endorsed McCain a week before the election and joined him on the campaign trail, didn't say exactly what set him off, hinting that would be in his book that is due out this month

 Because it's only after the election and when his book is coming out, that McCain appalls him. But if you really want the details of how and why he appalled him, you have to wait until it comes out this month.

If she were that easy to "smear"....then obviously not the "real deal".

Well, hell yeah she was easy to smear. It's easy when you simply lie. Faking Trig's birth, Tina "I can see Russia from my backdoor" Fey, firing Librarians for not banning books, and nearly everything else. My goodness.

In fact, you people are so deluded that you cannot even recognize that your treatment of her exceeded any level of distaste that you typically attribute only to Republicans.

BTW....exactly how was Palin "smeared"? She did herself in when you opened her mouth and showed the nation what a fool she was.

That's right...alleging that she faked Trig's birth was not a "smear," right?

Alleging that she tried to ban books and fire Librarians because they didn't ban books was not a smear, right?

Alleging that she was responsible for making rape victims pay for rape kits was also not a smear, right?

If you didn't that such smears were launched, then what are you doing asking such in the first place?

If you did and don't think they are smears then you've essentially turned political smears into meaningless events.

BTW - I see our ever-gracious liberal friends still are smearing Joe the Plunber, huh? Amazing.

I wonder if they stopped to think for a moment about the FACT that Joe the Plumber was unfairly targeted for political retribution when his privacy was invaded to protect Obama's campaign. Aren't these the sorts of tactics that our liberal friends normally attibute to Republicans being uniquely guilty of?

Yeah, no comment on this, huh?

Political cowards. They'll smear a women candidate as having faked the birth of her child, they'll silently accept the invasion of a private citizen's privacy so long as he ain't killing an unborn baby, but, my goodness, when you accurately cite an assocaition between their Messiah and a former terrorist, look out...we've committed the gravest political sin of all.

Pathetic.

That clever bastard! That's how he'll sell so many books! Damn cliffhangers!!

LOL! Why should anyone take any insuation from that in a post responding to mine and challenging me to prove my statement?

You're welcome for looking up and posting the quote.

Why do you care?

Because this guy is probably just trying to sell his books and throwing McCain under the bus to do so. I just think it's bull**** considering he was going along with the ride while the ride was going, but only now when his book is coming out, is criticizing McCain. It's not that I care, I just find Joe appalling. Now, why do you care?

So he's going to make money off his 15 minutes of fame.

Big deal.

I don't care what he does, or why - I'm just fascinated by those that are obsessed with JtP.

I don't think that criticizing an opportunist equates to obsession. I think that people kind of forgot about him after the election was over. I know that I did. The fact that he is now writing a book tells me that he's trying to suck up every last droplet of fame that could be had. Though, I honestly am curious about who would read such a book. From the interviews that I've seen and comments he doesn't really seem like the type to write a very awe-inspiring or articulate book that would hold interest for most.

Obama made him famous. Why not capitalize on it?

There are all kinds of people that read all kinds of things for reasons people don't understand.

Obama made him famous. Why not capitalize on it?

I wouldn't say that Obama made him famous. The guy asked him a question and then McCain used it to prove several points during the debates.

There are all kinds of people that read all kinds of things for reasons people don't understand.

That is very true.

No Obama, no JtP. He was in the news before McCain picked up on him.

It looks to me like several people find joe fascinating by the number of posts to this thread, exactly what the Joe wants, even more so than the thread on the biggest shake-down of a U.S. governor in history.

Incredible. Or is this just pleasant distraction for...some... people.

I don't know if you've read through this thread, but to be fair most of these posts were the usual I love/hate Sarah Palin, liberal vs. conservative, he said/ she said dribble. Right away when it was pointed out Joe said Sarah Palin was the real deal, it spiraled out of control from there.
