President Trump and his daughter promote Goya foods in possible ethics violation

this administration continuously makes Idiocracy look like a step up.

No ICU beds available in Miami-Dade, and Punkinhead has beans on his Oval Office desk. "Leadership"

It's against the law for Trump to eat Mexican food?

Geez you people are deranged.

Not at all.z It's so sad that you don't understand the issue. I mean, it doesn't take a lot of intelligence to understand that using a government position to endorse a product is against legal code 5 CFR § 2635.702.

I feel sorry for your ignorance and ability to reason.

Ethics violations aside I find it hilarious that the president of the United States has stooped to selling beans! Then again that's pretty much all he's good for. Another fat campaign donation from Goya is also guaranteed. Can US politics get any more surreal?

In specific ethics code 5 CFR § 2635.702 specifically mentions endorsements. 5 CFR SS 2635.702 - Use of public office for private gain. | CFR | US Law | LII / Legal Information Institute

Absolutely okay with it and why not? When Obama was out promoting solar companies that all closed up anyway after taking all the Federal incentive money you libs never complained about that.

Why would we?

China killed those companies along with that rare earth metal that became much more available at that time.

The government built entire factories for people to make them over there.

There was nothing wrong with solyndra's technology. It was actually quite viable as it used much less of that mineral I mentioned. Flexible as well.

The "cancel culture" mob went after Goya, vowing a boycott, because the CEO voiced his support for Trump. Personally, vowing to destroy a company and everyone who earns a living working for that company because they don't agree with you politically, seems much more "unethical" than anything Trump did in response.

And the Cult members think the deranged ones are the anti-trump people.......

We bought their products before, and will continue to do so. (I also eat Chic fil A)

All Trump know about Goya is that their CEO kissed his ass on television. Which is everything to Trump.

So then there is no violation of the Hatch Act...is there, it specificallys to the gain of family or friends......if Trump doesn't know the CEO of Goya....there is no friendship, thus, no violation....

Remember that time about freedom fries .?

I do..

You guys have no moral high ground

Maybe after it’s all over, Goya will market a “taco bowl” in the frozen food aisle, with Trump as advertising spokesman.

Donnie would go for isnt. He’ll need the money!

You mean like the NFL boycott? The Nike boycott? The Keurig boycott? But those were different, right? Not unethical at all. Remember when Trump called for a Macy's boycott? Me too. Talk about unethical.

"Cancel culture" isn't exclusive to the left, tres, and those things you listed are every bit as stupid as this one.

I have been consistent with this opinion no matter who has called for the canceling.

There is literally no corner left in Conservatism that isn’t defined by victimhood. “We had to break the law! We’re viiiiictiiiiims.”

Talk to every white collar criminal and you’ll always get the same sob story: they had to break the law because everybody had it out for them.

Trump isn't breaking the law. He's trolling you... and it is working.

No victimhood at all in your liberal cult....right?

remember when republicans/conservatives spoke of being presidential and not disrespecting the office of the presidency or the oval office/desk?

yeah, that was all a big ole lie by massive liars.

So you called Trump out publicly for what he did to Macy's? Perhaps I missed it. Did you call out Hannity for the Keurig boycott? Did you call out the posters on here who were salivating for boycotts, trying to destroy companies and cause people to lose jobs? I may have missed those posts too.
