The chief justice wrote the majority opinions in both cases, and both were decided by 7 to 2 votes. The court’s four-member liberal wing voted with him, as did Mr. Trump’s two appointees, Justices Neil M. Gorsuch and Brett M. Kavanaugh.

Maybe Gorsuch and Kavanaugh do put the law first. Trump may have gotten more than he bargained for from them.

I sure hope come january the twenty first trump has an appointment with new york's judicial system.

In my opinion trump got into this whole president thing not because he thought he would win but he thought it would be good for his brand. In the end it might destroy his brand, how ironic.

Just wait until Biden puts his foot in his mouth on the campaign trail (and EVERYONE knows he will), the number of threads from your fellow acolytes will be eye-popping. Why would I be sore? The court set limits on the power of the Executive, and set limits on the power of Congress. Less power in Government is a good thing.

He has plenty of time apparently for golf, TV, rallies and angry tweets, but not any for answering subpoenas or managing pandemics.
 
Trump is angry because he discovered he isn't above the law and can't do whatever he pleases? My heart bleeds.

Meanwhile, his spokespeople are saying the decisions are good for Trump. This must mean they believe he's too stupid to understand them.

It's so unbecoming watching a "supposedly" grown man whining. It's even more unbecoming he's POTUS.

Does he do anything but whine, kvetch and complain about how unfair the world has been to him?
