Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman retires, citing campaign of ‘bullying’ and ‘retaliation’ by Trump after i

They still thought Obama was president is what was the matter

They thought honesty and obeying the law was still of value if that is what you mean. It turns out that both of those are a deal breakers for Trump. Just 5 more months to go and the Trumptanic goes to the bottom of the sea.

Vindman is in the armed service not the civil service.

Vindman will testify against Trump yet again.

Vindman will be colonel and Trump will be canned corn. PutinTrump Rowers will be sunk.

Coming soon

Wow. TDS is running at full speed.

Hope the door does not hit him in the arse on his way out.

Lt Col. victim.... poor guy so picked on! Look at me..... Trump is mean.... I don't like Trump...
Listen to me bitch about the president. He is looking for 15 minutes more of fame
.

Looks like that's what it appears to be about.
Wonder when his book is coming out?

She'd block them until she got her way. What a disgusting person to use 1,100 soldiers promotions for her political tit-for-tat with the Commander in Chief.

Duckworth is one repulsive human being.

What a disgusting person to block the promotion of an American military officer for petty tit for tat.....but it is to be expected Trump would behave this way. He is one repulsive human being.

Wow. TDS is running at full speed.

Your post is vacuous tripe.

That's because it says nothing.

Trump is in deep sh!t with the armed forces at this point that have already refused to obey him against protesters and demonstrators in instances when Trump was sure the military would obey him against the Constitution.

You're talking deep state while Trump is standing in his own deep do do.

An Army officer who played a high-profile role in President Trump’s impeachment proceedings is retiring from the military over alleged “bullying” and “retaliation” by the president, his lawyer said Wednesday.

Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, who served as a national security aide at the White House until earlier this year and was up for promotion to colonel, will leave the military instead, his lawyer, David Pressman, said in a statement.

Up for promotion to colonel, Vindman was harassed & intimidated for his testimony in the Trump impeachment trial.
This military man is leaving because of "bullying” and “retaliation”??? He would have been better off teaching preschool children, and so would the country.

Good riddance to the puffed up buffoon. He did not serve his country well by siding with American enemies against his Commander in Chief.

We'll see what percentage of vote he gets from the military and police. Rogue left wing generals and ambassadors are just a handful of votes

I am so thrilled. As that famous broadcaster said openly, the thrill sent a tingle up my leg.

He should have walked in the shoes of General Stanley Mcchrystal who truly was bullied into retirement.

Republicans said I like Ike. I like Trump.

Here is a link to an article on a website that doesn't have a paywall.

Alexander Vindman retires from Army after Trump impeachment testimony

SOMETHING is missing here. There's no explanation as to how he was 'harassed'. I do understand that he lost his White House position, but he was reassigned to a nearby location. However, the Pentagon made assurances that he wouldn't face any retaliation. He was set for promotion, and scheduled to attend the War Collage in the fall... a step for potential promotion to higher ranks. And of course, by the time he finished that assignment we could have a new president. The timing is very odd.

Likely he realized he will never get a promotion, and likely trump is not even behind it. The guy injected opinion and politics into his task which is a no go, likely his oer is now bad enough he would never be considered for promotion even if eligable.

In the military as an officer, doing something bad but not getting kicked out usually makes you end up at a desk job frozen in your rank, aka a career ender. Most likely he realized his superior did not write a good oer and most likely wrote a bad one, and his carreer was now stuck on stay at that rank until retirement or retire now. You must remember not everything is top level pentagon when it comes to promotions, nco's have an ncoer and officers have oer's, things going badly on them can either halt rank progression or severely limit it.

Add this to the CT file..... this thread is getting nutter.

We're seeing how tough it's become over there as one after another of you Rowers keep begging for the CT thread to be invoked.

Face it however, the thread and topic are completely legit.

So what PutinTrump & Rowers need at this point is a miracle. Good luck with that.

Give over, man. Vindman showed us all on a doll where the Commander in Chief has hurt him. /s

Military is not gonna take back that whining piece of scum.

I'll ignore your slur of a patriot because it is meaningless coming from any PutinTrump Rower.

As to Vindman's return, which is possible to likely to be offered next year, it would be up to him and I don't see any reason why he'd walk away from it. This is unlike Capt. Crozier who got so maliciously bagged by Trump's Big Navy a return by him to a position of command is nigh impossible.

Vindman constitutes a strategic message to Putin and globally. He was born in Ukraine, migrated to NYC, has a master's from Harvard in Russian and Eurasian Studies, is on track for a master's from an advanced college of DoD, was assigned by the Army chief of staff to be Russia adviser to the chairman of JCS; the chairman detailed Vindman to the WH NSC for Russia-Ukraine-Eurasia after which he was approved for bird colonel.

Vindman had earlier been assigned as attache' to the US embassy in Russia and then in Ukraine. There's a lot going on here with the national security to include global security that may be unique to Vindman, or is at the least his distinguishing expert specialty.

Plus additionally Biden seems to have taken a special interest in this to screw PutinTrump & Their Rowers straight up their backside for their grotesque misconduct against the United States to include pardoning war criminals and for their foul mouths toward the wounded war hero Vindman.

Vindman didnt obey the law, he bypassed his superior and broke protocol to snitch on the POTUS.

He used legal whistleblowing channels to act as a whistleblower.

Being a Purple Heart recipient doesn't make him immune to the rules and regulation of the service.

What regulation did he violate by using a legal channel for whistleblowing?

He bypassed his chain of command and ilkegally released classified material.

Funny you called him a whistleblower. Why tid you do that?

Because that's what he was. He had reason to believe he witnessed illegal actions. Under federal law, he is allowed to whistleblow that information and is not required to use the chain to command to do so.

Wonder when his book is coming out?

There won't be any book.

Vindman took one for the Pentagon team by voluntarily resigning without prejudice against him. I have no doubt Trump wanted bad and rotten things to happen to Vindman on an essentially involuntary resignation but Trump did not get that.

Vindman resigned voluntarily to avert and preclude a blowup between Pentagon vs Trump in the matter. Pentagon has bigger matters before it than Vindman at this time and circumstance. There's the election, the inauguration and the hiatus in between 'em Pentagon needs absolutely to be ready for.

Indeed a Soldier such as LTC Vindman sacrificing himself for the mission is part of what we signed up for should that become necessary. We over here can be assured the entire armed forces and political leadership know Vindman took the wise and prudent course of action and that his courage will be recognized and his career resumed in the due course of events, ie, before long.

In short, there's no Vindman book in this nor does there need to be a book.
