Chicago violence erupts during holiday weekend, at least 67 shot and 13 killed



Chicago's bloody gun violence continued through the holiday weekend as more than 67 people were shot and at least 13 killed, including a 7-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy.

The girl, identified by her family as Natalie Wallace, was outside her grandmother’s home at a Fourth of July party in the city's Austin neighborhood around 7 p.m. when a vehicle pulled up and three men got out and started shooting indiscriminately.
Wallace was shot in her head and pronounced dead after she was rushed to a hospital, police said, according to Chicago's FOX 32.
A 32-year-old man shot during the same attack was in fair condition, FOX 32 reported.

When are our political leaders going to step up and give the enduring legacy of white supremacy, and all these problems it continues to cause, the attention it deserves? While Black Americans continue to die, intellectuals, celebrities, and politicians entertain themselves with partisan jabs, and empty gestures.

The time for radical change is now.

But for that logic, they are still Black lives, which just proves the "Black", in "lives matter," is meaningless.

If these people really cared about Black lives, that is where they would be concentrating their efforts.

The issues are one and the same. If one wishes to undo the damage done to black communities, you must address the cause, and not just the symptoms. White supremacy is the cause.

Defund black people. That will stop them murdering people just like it will stop police murdering people if you defund them.

No it is not, and it hasn't been the cause in several decades.

The real cause is the systemic paternalistic racism created by "do-gooder's" exemplified by the prejudice of low expectations.

Those "do-gooders," aided by the race-baiting members of our own community seeking personal power and profit, have created a self-negating mental state in many members of the Black Community.

We've been told we are being held down, that it's not our fault we cannot succeed. It's someone else's fault; either the "system," the "bad" Whites (not our allies), or both.

That we NEED special care and consideration, welfare handouts and reparations. That we do not need to try, because we are "owed!"

But the truth is that it is not "White Supremacy," but rather our mental state which makes us accept and believe it is someone else's fault that's serving to keep some of us down.

However the truth is demonstrated by two things. First, that this "racism" doesn't seem to stop Black immigrants from succeeding. Second, that we have MANY successful native born American peers to show the example.

Unlike police departments, black communities are underfunded, not overfunded.
 
It matters not, there is no realistic plan from Democrats today to deal with inner-city violence.

BLM should be upset, unsure it will result in much.

I don't get the point of the "Black lives matter" portion of your thread title to do with anything mentioned in the body of your OP or anything in the linked article. Any clarity is appreciated.

This is not exactly an isolated or new event in Chicago.

So, ironically, you ARE in fact being held down by white supremacy, exactly like the "do gooders" say. They just never told you that it was them holding you down.

Hey, post more as a white man about how much pity and sympathy you have for them black people - which is anyone who isn't 100% pure white per Democratic Party one-drop slavery laws.

Democratic Party leaders over white majority cities have always wanted blacks killed off. The Democratic politicians of Chicago are just doing what they've always done. Hiring black Judas goats to also do so is just a matter of paying them. The more blacks killed in Chicago, the more the Democratic leadership of Chicago likes it. They'd burn down entire black neighborhoods if they could get away with it. To the Democratic Party "the only good black man is a dead black man."

Explain their desperate need for you to save them from their terrible suffering for not being white like you. Keep telling us all how lucky it is that you are white, not like those desperate black people.

These aren't the black lives that BLM cares about. If it was, they would be getting into fights with the gang bangers, not the cops.

I am of mixed race, and I have experienced firsthand the damage that racism can do. Perhaps this gives me a greater ability to empathize with those who suffer similar problems. But even if I were fully white, I'd like to believe that I would have eventually arrived at the same conclusion, that our society is steeped in white supremacy, which must be fought.
