"Our economy is roaring back," Trump said, saying the response to the coronavirus pandemic, coordinated with governors is "working out very well."

He added: "These are historic numbers."
 
We do have historic numbers... infections and lives lost when compared to every other nation.

People returning to work aren't new jobs, they're jobs that were there already but vacant due to shutdowns. And to say that the virus is 'burning out' is just a lie.

But Trump can always count on his uneducated base to think he personally created millions of new jobs in this economic situation.

That was the biggest spin fest. I broke all time records for spin-action by a lot.
 
Okay. Just anecdotal but one of my brothers lost his job last fall in a very specific field. He eventually found another job but had to get a state certification literally scheduled for the day everything in the state closed down so he had to wait until a few weeks back when things re-opened to finally check the box so he could start work. The only good thing was with the state office shut down, they couldn't find anyone else to do the job during the wait. He also got the COVID bonus unemployment though that to me is technically a party foul since COVID had nothing to do with his unemployment.

Well people are starting to return to work as the lockdown ended and restrictions ease. Duh. It's not like Trump made economic policy getting us out of some long standing recession/depression. And "coordinating with governors"? How is "Liberate Michigan" coordinating with governors?

Trump is a chump, he's just trying to take credit for something he's had no impact on. Though that's pretty much his greatest accomplishments.

Through PPP, businesses were getting support. People were receiving their $1200 checks, unemployed workers were receiving unemployment insurance checks, the Feds kept the market afloat by keeping businesses like Ford solvent. The Feds did a good job, but all these programs have ended or will end very soon, then what? Now it's up to Congress to to keep the economy stimulated with the passage of new bills.

We also have historic recoveries from the virus showing that the immune system works but that doesn't fit into the liberal narrative of gloom and doom. Really bothers you that 5 million jobs returned last month doesn't it? your loyalty to liberalism is stunning as you focus on everything negative. We live in a country of 328 million Americans and have infection rate of .8% and a death rate of .04%.

The recovery is going to be historic and the best you can do is pray for failure and more deaths
