No one needs a referendum to see that the Minneapolis police are not capable of maintaining order in the city. They should be replaced with an organization which can.

Liberal means the same thing it always has. You don't get to redefine words and if you're going to use your own definitions you better get used to talking to yourself. The problem you guys have is you call everything left of centre 'liberal'. Socialism, for example, is not liberalism but most on the right not only don't understand this but they continue to deny the difference when the dictionary or encyclopedia quotes are laid in front of them. It's loud, proud, determined ignorance and they reinforce it among themselves to the point where I've been told, "Everyone knows..."

Liberals didn't do that, conservatives did. Don't you know that there were lots of conservative Democrats back then? Liberal Republicans too, powerful ones some of them. It wasn't until Reagan and Goldwater that the GOP became a conservative bastion and around then the southern conservatives forgave the Republican Party for Lincoln.
You need to pay closer attention and lose the hyper-partisan blinders. Republican may mean conservative now but it didn't always and Democrat never has meant liberal. Just because most liberals are Democrats in the US doesn't mean most Democrats are or ever were liberals. In fact, if you just go by this forum there's not many liberals in the US. Some, but not a lot.

Not one stick of evidence of any death threats. They are just making claims and are afraid. They want the people to have no police while they spend over 50K on armed guards. If you want to demonstrate, THERE is a good reason. But, none of you care a whit because those spending tax dollars for armed guards are in favor of armed insurrection. But............if they are black or white saviors of the blacks, they will be immune from the anarchists. At least for now.

Just like YOU have no evidence of what you claim in your posts.

Defund the police means exactly what it means. If others are missing the nuance then you need to learn to speak the English language and make a new slogan that accurately reflects the proposal

Thank you. For insisting on using words correctly. I'm engaged right now with some rightists who can't get it through their heads that anarchists and socialists aren't liberals.

But they certainly have found a home in the Democratic Party. In fact if you visit the Democratic Socialists of America website and the Communist Party USA, their agendas reads like the Democratic Party's agenda.

I really don't feel like going back and getting them.

At least we made progress with you understanding that when I said there was NO EVIDENCE, I naturally was referring to no evidence of death threats. But, in today's climate, if you are back, you are to be believed no matter what and any questioning of motives or claims is considered being racist.

Which reminds me, a few of you have claimed there is rampant or institutionalized racism.This is another CLAIM that is not documented. If anything, it is just the opposite. Society is BEGGING blacks to let them know what offends them and generally ass kissing, if you want the truth. Most people are afraid to say anything for fear of "offending" the snowflake black people.
