A noose was found in Bubba Wallace's garage stall, NASCAR says

Breaking News
The noose was part of a way to open the garage door and not a noose at all. I just heard that on my local news station. I have no link.

That is exactly what has been said here in this thread ...

OK - considering I have more than 2 brain cells to rub together, I don't like watching cars run around a track 200 times

Yeah, I know your type, you probably think baseball is "boring" too. People who think that auto racing is as easy as driving their Toyota Prius in a circle clearly don't understand much about auto racing. Just like major league baseball, if it were easy everyone would be able to do at the NASCAR cup series level.

How has he "played the victim card" before?

He has whined about his depression, whined about his feelings, and now like Kapernick using his sport as his political platform. Just shut up and race.

And you should really see someone about your obsession, although Smollett is kind of cute.

I'm not obsessed with Smollet, that was the first post I have ever made mention of him. I'm just saying that not everything is as people may think it is, and in today's culture victim status has a lot of appeal for some people to gain attention to whatever their point is supposed to be. But this isn't really news to you is it?

Yeah, I just reacted to my local news station and wasn't aware that it had been posted on here before.

No, you're good. I was referring to the part that it was a garage pull but it was dismissed on this thread as fake news. One of the links to it being a garage pull is in post # 354.

Or maybe it's just racism in the deep south

Or it's just a GARAGE DOOR ROPE THAT'S BEEN THERE, WITH A LOOP AT THE END TO MAKE IT EASIER TO PULL DOWN, SINCE LAST YEAR!!!!!!!!

:giggle1::lamo:lamo:2rofll::2rofll:

I'm a little biased in that I'm not a big fan of sociology. There are just too many factors involved when it comes to why people act one way or another. IMO.

That's psychology.

The noose was part of a way to open the garage door and not a noose at all. I just heard that on my local news station. I have no link.

From the innerwebs

“On Monday, fifteen FBI special agents conducted numerous interviews regarding the situation at Talladega Superspeedway. After a thorough review of the facts and evidence surrounding the event, we have concluded that no federal crime was committed.

The FBI learned that garage number 4, where the noose was found, was assigned to Bubba Wallace last week. The investigation also revealed evidence, including authentic video confirmed by NASCAR, that the noose found in garage number 4 was in that garage as early as October 2019. Although the noose is now known to have been in garage number 4 in 2019, nobody could have known Mr. Wallace would be assigned to garage number 4 last week.

The decision not to pursue federal charges is proper after reviewing all available facts and all applicable federal laws. We offer our thanks to NASCAR, Mr. Wallace and everyone who cooperated with this investigation.”

So there you have it kids, has nothing to do with Bubba Wallace being Black. Wasn't even anything to do with his specific team.

But as if on cue Wallace willingly accepts some more victim points, and a bunch of other saps (including other drivers all White) gathered around Wallace in a display of support and group "white guilt" on the new virtue signaling band wagon over NOTHING. But not after a lot of damage done with more charges of white racism---especially Southern White racism.

This is why it does no good for people to "take a knee", hang a BLM sign, or pour ashes on their own heads. Because NOTHING will ever be good enough today. Wallace is automatically assumed to be a victim due to his skin complexion, and every other White NASCAR fan or driver is assumed to be a racist because of their skin color.

This is the America the left has created. Turned back 50 years of race relations over LIES or fake news.

What a beautiful demonstration of "racism" in America. A ghost chased so feverishly by half the population, seen ANYWHERE they can imagine it to be. Have they yet caught the white racist that lynched by hanging those two black guys in California yet?

Or neuroscience/neurobiology.

To some extent, why a group of people do something, such as the demographic transition or agricultural sedentary transition (so to speak), is anthropology. Sociology is mostly statistics.

I wonder how many will start retracting their vile comments and accusations ... and how many will delete some twitter comments ...

Zero... they are off to slander someone else!! Sick people :3oops:

No just him, it's been all over the place today.. So Fox, or Limbaugh, or someone came up with it... And that obsession is being parroted all over the net.

Oh, I'm sure it is Limbaugh. Talk about a boner for Smollett.

Democrats were led kicking and screaming to end segregation in the south.
Wiki:
The Civil Rights act of 1964 and The Voting Rights Act of 1965 were passed by bipartisan majorities of northern congressmen. Only a small element resisted, led by Democratic governors*Lester Maddox*of Georgia, and especially*George Wallace*of Alabama. These*populist*governors appealed to a less-educated, blue-collar electorate that favored the Democratic Party, but supported segregation.[any white southerners switched to the Republican Party, some for reasons unrelated to race. The majority of white southerners shared*conservative*positions on taxes, moral values and national security. The Democratic Party had increasingly*liberal*positions rejected by these voters.[35]*In addition, the younger generations, who were politically conservative but wealthier and less attached to the Democratic Party, replaced the older generations who remained loyal to the party.[35]*The shift to the Republican Party took place slowly and gradually over almost a century.[35]

I'd love to know what hack wrote that wiki. The author says "only a small element resisted." In fact, for the CRA of 1964, the combined House and Senate vote for southern (former CSA) congressmen was 9 in favor, 115 (93%) opposed, and of the 11 elected REPUBLICANS in the South at that time, the vote was 0 for, 11 (100%) against. And in fact in the Deep south (MS, GA, AL, NC, SC, LA, FL) - the core of the CSA, the votes were virtually 100% against. The Yes votes came from Texas (5) and Tennessee (2), and 1 from Florida.

That's not a small element opposed to black civil rights, and it wasn't limited to Democrats, since 100% of the elected Republicans in the South also opposed the CRA.

I asked this 3-4 times.. No answer so far... I'll ask 1 more time.

If that's true then why did NASCAR and the other NASCAR drivers assume the worse? They should know, right?

Facts on the ground - racism is alive and well

I am a Bubba Wallace fan. Since he signed on to Richard Petty Motorsports 2 and a half years ago, I have rooted for him. There is nobody I would rather see win a race than him. I was jubilant beyond belief yesterday when he took the lead (though short lived).

When all this happened I just shook my head and didn't want to think about it. It was something that profoundly saddened me because I've been a NASCAR fan since I was a little boy and the thought that someone who was either a fan of, or associated with NASCAR, would do something like this was something I didn't at the time want to deal with. After the race was over, I decided it was time to deal with what happened and let the chips fall where they may. In other words, I knew that this incident might change my feelings toward the sport and it was time to find out.

Well, after thinking it through based on all the available information, I all of the sudden got this sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach. It crossed my mind that this might very well have been staged and that Bubba Wallace might have been involved. I didn't want to think that and still hope to God it isn't true, but with the high security and the Covid-19 limitation on how many people are allowed to be in the garage area, I think an outsider doing it would be kind of difficult.

I really, really hope Bubba had nothing to do with this, because he's personable, friendly and I like the guy... I think he has a lot to offer NASCAR both on and off the track and I'd like to continue to root for him.

.
How do you feel about the Stars and Bars?
